Round 11 done and dusted (very nearly got some dust given improved weather and the super speed of many Super Cats)

Sunday 23 August 3.30pm Woody South at Home to Hills Super Tigers AFL Masters.

Woody South had great numbers overall and new players debuting when welcoming the Tigers following their trip down the freeway.
The Hills were a little light on for the game so, as is the Masters tradition, a revolving number of Super Cats made the feline transition into the Tiger lair.

The game had an abundance of great skill and was played in the very best Masters footy for fun.
We witnessed any number of top passages of play, clean disposal skill by foot and hand, super grabs, keen close defence and dead eye finishing.
It was a pleasure to play on a sound surface, remarkable given previous extreme weather and that ours was the 4th game played on the day after Junior finals.
Our Masters umpires again impressively aided the play-on feel of the game while Arthur was kept especially energised. Thanks to all those who assisted with our second last home match.

Now the day was also a Super Cats 2026 team photo-op so our squad had spent all week sparring (no not that one!), receiving manicures, hair styled and trimmed (extremities a speciality!), with heaps of deep tissue work, facials and generally, all were as exfoliated as they could be.

Interesting note that three (+ Arthur off-field) from our original inaugural 2013 Super Cats squad (Wardy, Matty C & Scotty M) continue their impressive 2026 game contributions. Curiously, 2 along with Ricky McL are former Presidents and we ponder, does this lofty position at the Super Cats provide eternal footy life? Alas, 'tis only rhetoric, otherwise we'd conduct a poll.

Final game at home again in a couple of weeks and this season has just rocketed along.

Spit Night on Saturday Night from 5pm will be a great team bonding as well as a fabulous feed.
And we look to our Senior Cats to eventually come back from SMOSH with a W to send the night right off.

Another big weekend of Masters footy is coming up, with Round 11 kicking off Saturday evening before a full day of games across Adelaide and the Riverland on Sunday.
