though many of the handball courts were demolished to make way for classrooms, the Handball courts at Rostrevor College have enabled percipients over the past few decades to play at a social/competitive level. These space constraints however has seen the emergence of One Wall Handball globally, a derivative of the original form, which is perfect for city recreation with minimal space or equipment needed to make the game available for all to play regardless of s*x or age and hence the handball motto “Any ball, any wall”

In Australia and locally, the one wall game is still mainly played by old scholars of Christian Brother’s schools transitioning over from the 3 wall game. Our aim is to follow the world’s general movement to the ‘world game’ of one wall by introducing it to other schools outside of the private school system and to the public as a whole.
