MOST COURAGEOUS
Adelaide captain Jordan Dawson showed why he was honoured by his peers with the Robert Rose Most Courageous Award — displaying remarkable courage while delivering this powerful message:
“The world is a better place with you in it. You are enough, and you are loved.”

This is what a team should feel like. ❤️
When Melbourne United’s Isaac Humphries shared his truth, his teammates didn’t hesitate—they wrapped their arms around him.
Acceptance. Support. Belonging.
A powerful two minutes—and a beautiful example of sport at its very best.

Josh Fraser – Character
Nine wins from eleven games as Carlton’s interim coach is an outstanding coaching achievement.
But perhaps Josh Fraser’s greatest victory hasn’t been on the scoreboard.
Just days after the passing of his father, he continued to lead his team with courage, composure and professionalism.
Winning reveals personality. Adversity reveals character.
Josh Fraser has shown us what strength of character truly looks like.
That’s a lesson far bigger than football.
❤️
Nathan Buckley recently reminded us what real leadership looks like when he wasn’t appointed coach of the Tasmanian Devils.
Gracious in disappointment. Dignified in response.
Winning reveals personality. Losing reveals character.
Nathan Buckley showed great character. ♥️

What an incredible evening for community sport. 🧡
Last night, coaches, volunteers, committee members and families from across our local sporting community came together for the Learning Life Through Sport workshop, united by a shared commitment to creating positive sporting environments where young people can thrive.
A heartfelt thank you to Rod Campbell for delivering such an engaging, inspiring and thought-provoking workshop. Rod challenged us to think beyond the scoreboard and reminded us of the powerful influence we have on the lives of young people every time we step onto a training ground, court, oval or field.
We would also like to sincerely thank Sorell Council for supporting this initiative through their Community Grant Program. Their investment in community sport helped make this opportunity possible, and we are incredibly grateful for their support.
Most importantly, thank you to our fellow sporting organisations who worked together to bring this workshop to our community:
🧡 South East Junior Football Club (Giants)
🧡 Sorell Football Club
🧡 Dodges Ferry Sharks Football Club
🧡 SEBA (South East Basketball Association)
🧡 South East Netball Association
🧡 Sorell Cricket Club Inc.
This workshop was a wonderful reminder that while we may represent different sports, we all share the same goal - to help young people develop confidence, resilience, respect and a lifelong love of sport.
When clubs work together, our whole community benefits.
Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to making the evening such a success. We look forward to continuing to build stronger sporting environments for the young people in our community.

SOUTH EAST COMMUNITY TEAMS & ASSOCIATIONS
It was awesome to present Learning Life Through Sport to representatives from the South East Community Teams & Associations.
A heartfelt thank you to the Sorell Council, and everyone who attended for your commitment to creating safe, inclusive and positive sporting environments where everyone can thrive.
The feedback was incredibly encouraging, but what stood out most wasn’t the ratings—it was the honesty.
Many participants openly reflected on how they had grown from being irresponsible coaches, parents or supporters in the past to becoming more responsible role models today.
That willingness to reflect, learn and lead by example is where real cultural change begins.
Together, we can continue building sporting environments where Sportsmanship, Respect and Try Your Hardest are valued above winning at all costs.
Thank you for partnering with Learning Life Through Sport to make a lasting difference in the lives of young people. ❤️
