Works are currently underway to revamp a community building in the Park Lands.

A new community sporting facility will soon be underway at Golden Wattle Park / Mirnu Wirra (Park 21W).

The existing 1960s building will be replaced with modern, inclusive clubrooms designed to support a range of local sports, including Aussie rules, cricket, soccer, netball, ultimate frisbee and school use.

The new facility will include six unisex change rooms, public toilets, a kitchen and common area, sheltered outdoor space, kiosk, umpire facilities and first aid rooms - all delivered with sustainable features such as natural light, ventilation and native plantings. 🙌

This project is being delivered in collaboration with the Adelaide Community Sport and Recreation Association (ACSARA) and the Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing, and marks the first upgrade under a new City of Adelaide building program.

AFDA is inviting applications for the critical role of Events Manager to join our expanding team.

This role reports directly to the CEO and is accountable for the annual AFDA event calendars, annual budgets, delivery, host/venue relationships, and event quality standards.

The role has flexibility to work from home anywhere in Australia or from the AFDA National Office in Melbourne.

Introducing our new after-school program: Future Flyers! 🥏 📣

Future Flyers is an 8-week long entry level Ultimate Frisbee program with a large focus on playing games of Ultimate. Registration is open to all children and youth aged 10-15 who want to learn new skills, be active, meet new people and enjoy playing Ultimate with friends. 🏃‍♂️🤩
