Gymnastics SA is incredibly proud to congratulate Samual Haley on winning the Bill Bowman Award at the 2026 Special Olympics SA Annual Awards!

Samual was also nominated for Male Athlete of the Year, recognising his fantastic achievements and dedication to his sport.

The journey continues for Samual and Nicky, who will be heading to the Special Olympics National Games in October, where they will have the opportunity to qualify for the Special Olympics World Games in Chile!

Gymnastics South Australia is looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised Events Coordinator to join our team!

This role will play a key part in bringing Gymnastics SA events and competitions to life – coordinating everything from planning and preparation through to event-day delivery and post-event administration. You’ll work closely with our clubs, Sport Management Committees, volunteers, officials, suppliers and the wider Gymnastics SA team.

We’re looking for someone with strong organisation, communication and problem-solving skills who thrives in a busy event environment and enjoys working collaboratively with a wide range of people. Experience in event coordination, sport administration, competition management or a similar role will be highly regarded.

Another brand new activation at this year’s Junior State Championships, Meet the Champions - Athlete Signing!

This special event gives our junior athletes the opportunity to meet and celebrate some of South Australia’s outstanding gymnasts who proudly represented our state at the 2026 Australian Gymnastics Championships and Internationally.

Come along to meet the champions, have your autograph card signed, take a photo, and celebrate the incredible achievements of our State Team. It’s a fantastic opportunity to be inspired by athletes who have dedicated years of hard work, perseverance, and passion to reach the national stage.

Meet the Champions will take place on Saturday the 22nd of August from 3:15pm to 4:30pm in the Marketplace Village! Be sure to head over, say hello, collect an autograph, and congratulate our incredible State Team representative representatives!
