Our Final Winter Social Cup for 2026

Our final Winter Social Cup for 2026 finished on a high note, with fantastic weather and a great turnout!

There were many new players thrown into the mix alongside our more experienced players, and a good time was had by all. With only a few points separating the top teams, it was a close finish!

1st Place: Wayne & Bruce
2nd Place: Ngaire, Alain, Ros, Dee, Rob & Martin — all finishing on equal points
3rd Place: Lola, Sasha & Steve

Wednesday Training Update
Today our regulars were joined by two visitors from New Zealand, Glen and Diana, who fitted seamlessly into our weekly session.

It was an incredibly close competition, with just 4 points separating the top four players!

We hope Craig can carry his winning form into the Interstate Challenge in Perth this weekend.

Our Memorial Cup, postponed from last Sunday due to the extremely wet weather—a decision that, in hindsight, proved to be a great call—was played today in fantastic fine weather.
The Memorial Cup honours all our pétanque players who have sadly passed away, many of whom were founders of our great Club. We are truly grateful for their initiation, commitment and foresight, which have helped our Club flourish for almost 50 years.
A big thank you to Bunnings Kent Town for generously donating beautiful orchid plants as prizes for this very special Cup.
It was a wonderful day of pétanque, friendship and remembrance, celebrating the legacy of those who helped build our Club.

As always, a huge thank‑you to the many helpers who make days like this run smoothly. Your effort, energy, and enthusiasm keep our club thriving.

The weather certainly did not deter Kevin, our returning guest of Shanghai from joining us for Saturday training. We had our regulars who always come along and make training such a great experience.
Kevin showed us once again that language is no barrier to our sport- it’s all about getting involved, having fun and sharing the experience together.
He took out equal 1st place with Val and hopefully we enjoy his company again before he returns home.
