What a fantastic Ladies’ Bowls & Bubbles Day we all had today! 💚💜💛

A huge thank you to all the wonderful ladies who attended and helped make the day such a wonderful success. It was fantastic to see so many new faces enjoying the bowls, bubbles, friendship and fun! 🥂

A very special thank you to Sarah Andrews, Member for Gibson, and Louise Miller-Frost, Member for Boothby, for generously giving their time to join us. We truly appreciate your support. 💐

And of course, a massive thank you to all our amazing Marion Bowling Club volunteers who helped make the day possible — behind the bar, out on the greens, in the kitchen, and to everyone who contributed the delicious afternoon tea. 🧁🍰💕

Socials are on and it's great to see the weather has turned it on just like the amount of players that have come out and filled 14 rinks. Awesome turnout. Thanks Jean and Anne for sorting out today. Also, if you haven't been to the club recently, there has been new logo's placed up around the place.

Unfortunately social bowls is cancelled again today due to weather. Hopefully Adelaide gets some sunshine again soon.

🌟 Celebrating Darryl Gray 🌟

Marion Bowling Club is proud to recognise Darryl Gray, who was recently nominated for Bowls SA Volunteer of the Year. While he didn’t take home the award on the night, the nomination alone reflects the incredible dedication, generosity, and service he brings to our club and the wider bowls community.

We are also delighted to share that Darryl has been awarded Life Membership of Marion Bowling Club — a truly well‑deserved honour. After being away during the May 2026 presentation, Darryl received his award yesterday, and we’re pleased to share this special moment with our members.

Thank you, Darryl, for everything you contribute. Your commitment strengthens our club, inspires others, and embodies the spirit of Marion Bowling Club.

Great news for our members — Brad Porter has been officially appointed as our Greenkeeper at the Marion Bowling Club for the next two years.

Brad stepped in at short notice last October and, together with Tim Dodds, delivered outstanding greens for the 2025/26 season. His expertise, care, and commitment have already made a huge impact.

We’re excited for what the next two years will bring and proud to have Brad as part of the Marion team.

We’re proud to share that Marion Bowling Club has been featured in the latest edition of the Club Marion Chronicle! The July 2026 issue highlights our club’s achievements, community spirit, and the outstanding recognition of our very own Jeff Allan, who was recently awarded Bowls South Australia’s Administrator of the Year. 👏

Jeff’s dedication and leadership have been instrumental in strengthening our club’s governance, fostering community engagement, and coordinating major events such as the 2026 National Police Games. His recognition is a reflection of the passion and teamwork that define our club.

The Chronicle also shines a spotlight on our club’s history and success — from our motto “Together, determined, proud – We are Marion” to our thriving competitions, social bowls, and ability to host major tournaments that attract players from across Australia and beyond. 🏆
