I used to wear a lot of black, and a lot of dark colours.
At the time, I never really questioned it. đ€
I also wasnât particularly happy in my job either, but I never connected the two.
What I do remember is how frustrated I felt.
My wardrobe was overflowing with clothes, yet every morning I felt like I had nothing to wear.
Getting dressed became exhausting.đȘ
Iâd get changed two or three times before leaving the house because nothing felt right.
I was buying clothes because I liked them, not because they worked for me.
Then Iâd get them home, hang them in my wardrobe and still have nothing to wear.
Eventually, I just got to a point where I thought, I need help. đ
I need someone to come in and help me change the way Iâd been doing things.
So I booked in with a personal stylist.
I thought she was just going to help me with my wardrobe.
What I didnât expect was how differently Iâd feel afterwards.
I remember not long after sheâd left, standing in front of my wardrobe and feeling this incredible sense of relief.
The clothes had been there the whole time. đĄ
I just couldnât see them through all the overwhelm.
She helped me let go of the pieces that werenât serving me anymore and focus on the clothes I genuinely loved wearing.
For the first time in a long time, I actually felt excited to get dressed. đ„č
One of the biggest things she gave me wasnât a new wardrobe.
She gave me permission to wear my favourite clothes.
Not save them for a special occasion.
But to actually wear them. Every day.
Because feeling good evert day is what I I deserved.
I walked away feeling lighter. đ
Like a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders.
And when I look back now, I donât think it was just my wardrobe that had lost its spark.
I had too.
Thatâs why Iâm so passionate about the work I do today.
Because I know what it feels like to think your wardrobe is the problem. đ
Often the clothes have been there all along.
You just need someone to help you see them differently. đ„°

I donât know if youâve ever noticed this, but sometimes two outfits can look perfectly fine, and yet they make you feel completely different. đ”âđ«
That happened to me about a week ago.
The moment I put this first outfit on, I instantly felt amazing. I didnât think about it again for the rest of the day. I felt comfortable and me.
A few days later, I wore the second outfit.
There was absolutely nothing wrong with it. The pieces worked. They fitted well and if youâd seen me walking down the street, you probably wouldnât have thought twice about it.
But I noticed something. đ§
I kept catching myself thinking about what I was wearing. I wasnât as comfortable and I didnât feel quite like myself.
It wasnât the clothes and it wasnât me.
It was simply a combination that didnât feel as much like me as the first one did.
And that was worth paying attention to. đĄ
So often we judge an outfit by whether it looks âgoodâ or whether someone else compliments it.
But I think an even better question to ask yourself is, how do you feel when youâre wearing it?
Do you forget about your clothes because they feel just right? Or do you spend the day thinking about them because something doesnât quite feel right?
Thatâs the beauty of experimenting with your wardrobe.
Not every combination is going to feel right every time, and thatâs okay. Because every time you try something, youâre learning a little more about yourself.
Youâre discovering what feels natural, what reflects who you are and what simply doesnât.
And I think thatâs one of the most valuable parts of developing your personal style.
Because the goal isnât to create outfits that just look good.
Itâs to create outfits that feel like you. đ

You know those outfits that instantly change how you feel?
The ones that make you stand a little taller, put a smile on your face and give you that little boost before youâve even left the house.
Thatâs how this outfit made me feel today. đ€đ©¶
And itâs exactly why personal style matters. đđ»
Itâs about understanding what works for you, what feels like you and choosing pieces that make you feel confident, comfortable and like the best version of yourself.
Because when you feel good in what youâre wearing, it has a way of setting you up for a fabulous day.
And I think we all deserve more of that.đ
