The NDRC Pro Mod Championship points after the Winternationals 🏁
08/06/2026
To all of our sponsors and supporters, we’d like to share a recap of what was shaping up to be a fantastic weekend before taking a devastating turn for our Generation-Y DRAG Racing team and driver, Adam Tassone.
The Winternationals at Willowbank Raceway got off to the perfect start on Day 1, with Adam recording a personal best of 5.86 seconds at 241.97mph, sending us straight to the top of the qualifying leaderboard.
Day 2 began with a slightly shaky start in Qualifying Round 2, where we recorded a 6.021 second pass. While not the result we were aiming for, a little maintenance and hard work from the crew had us right back where we wanted to be.
We maintained our position as top qualifier and bounced back strongly in Qualifying Round 3, laying down a 5.87 second pass at 244.92mph to remain at the top of the standings.
Heading into eliminations on Day 3 as the number one qualifier, we received a bye run in the opening round. Making the most of the solo pass, Adam delivered another impressive 5.87 second run at 244.03mph. It was a truly successful start to the weekend for Adam and the entire Generation-Y DRAG Racing crew.
Unfortunately, the weekend took a heartbreaking turn following a horrific accident during competition.
We are incredibly grateful to report that Adam Tassone is doing well and has been cleared by doctors of any serious injuries.
Remarkably, Adam walked away from the incident with only a few bruises and his head held high despite the circumstances. While the Generation-Y DRAG Racing team is still processing everything that happened, our overwhelming feeling is one of gratitude. Seeing Adam alert, responsive, and completely himself only moments after his medical assessment was the best outcome we could have hoped for.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the emergency crews, medical staff, Willowbank Raceway personnel, and Winternationals officials for their professionalism, care, and support throughout the incident. Your quick actions and assistance meant the world to our team during an incredibly difficult moment.
We would also like to congratulate Lorenzo Guilotto on winning the ProMod title at the Winternationals. Great work to you and the team!
To the Generation-Y DRAG Racing crew, thank you for your countless hours of preparation, determination, and teamwork, it played a huge role in our strong performance throughout the weekend. Your commitment both back home and at the track continues to drive this team forward, and we are immensely proud of every crew member who stood behind Adam and the car every step of the way.
Finally, thank you to everyone who has reached out with messages of support. We appreciate every call, message, and well-wish as we work through the next steps together as a team. We hope to see you trackside again soon.

Thank you ProMod Drag Racing Australia 🙏🏽
Coming into the Winternationals, Adam Tassone was riding a wave of momentum. Leading the championship, making huge strides with the race car, and putting down the numbers needed to contend for wins, it all came together when he claimed the top qualifying position for the biggest event of the season.
Then, in a heart-stopping moment that nobody ever wants to witness, Adam suffered a major crash that brought an abrupt end to what had been an outstanding weekend. While the damage to the race car is significant, the most important thing is that Adam was able to walk away from the incident.
Moments like these are a stark reminder of just how important safety is in our sport. The safety equipment did exactly what it was designed to do, protecting Adam when it mattered most.
We're incredibly relieved to see him on his feet, and while it was heart-breaking to see such a promising campaign end the way it did, we're already looking forward to the day we see Adam back where he belongs on the start-line.
Wishing Adam, his family, and the entire team all the best as they regroup and rebuild. We're glad you're okay.
