πŸ’™ What a Season, U14 Boys! πŸ’™

Saturday didn't end the way our U14 boys had dreamed, but what a season they have given us. πŸ€πŸ’™

After an incredible year, their 2 losses all season came against the same team they faced in today’s Grand Final. They fought until the very final whistle, leaving absolutely everything they had on the court. While the scoreboard may say Runners Up, it certainly doesn’t tell the whole story.

This group built something pretty special β€” friendships, trust, incredible camaraderie and memories that will last far beyond basketball. They supported each other, celebrated each other and stood together through every challenge.

A huge thank you to their amazing coach for guiding, encouraging and believing in them all season. What a difference you have made! πŸ‘πŸ’™

Boys, you should be so incredibly proud. Runners Up, but champions in the way you played, supported each other and represented our club πŸ’™πŸ’™

Congratulations U14s β€” what a team, what a season, what a journey. πŸ’™πŸ€

Something special πŸ₯°πŸ€©πŸ₯³πŸ’ͺ🏻

15/08/2026

Today, something very special and rare happened β€” something now etched into the history books that can never be taken away from these girls, this team, or their families.

There will be times in life when it feels like nothing is going your way, but what these girls did today is the kind of moment that, when looked back on, can lift even the heaviest hearts to the highest highs.

Our U14 girls β€” the very first girls team for United District Titans Basketball Club β€” were crowned Grand Final winners today, defeating an undefeated Eastern Mavericks side that had been the benchmark all season.

The grit and determination these girls showed, the teamwork, the ball movement, and the belief they had in each other all came together in one incredible 40-minute performance β€” the kind of stuff dreams are made of.

This was more than just a win.
This was belief.
This was courage.
This was history.

No matter what happens from here, nobody can ever take this moment away from you.

We are so incredibly proud of every single one of you. πŸ’™πŸ€πŸ†

πŸ† GRAND FINAL BOUND β€” LET’S GO UNITED! πŸ†

What an incredible weekend ahead for the United Districts Titans! πŸ’™πŸ€

This weekend, TWO of our U14 teams will take the floor at St Clair in their GRAND FINALS!

πŸ”₯ U14 BOYS β€” led by first-time United coach Craig Hassam, who has done an outstanding job with this group in his first season coaching for the club.

πŸ’™ U14 GIRLS β€” making United Districts history. Our first-ever girls team in 49 years of the club, and in their very first season together they have made it all the way to a GRAND FINAL!

That is something these girls, their coaches, families and our entire club should be incredibly proud of.

πŸ“ St Clair Recreation Centre
πŸ“… This weekend
⏰ 10:30am

We want to see as much NAVY & BLUE in the stadium as possible. Get behind our kids, make some noise and show them what the United family is all about!

BUT THERE’S SOMETHING JUST AS IMPORTANT AS THE RESULT.

A Grand Final brings excitement, pressure and emotion β€” for players, coaches AND spectators.

When you attend a United game, you aren’t only representing yourself.

You are representing UNITED.

Our expectations don’t change because it’s a Grand Final.

Players β€” play hard, play fair, respect your teammates, opponents, coaches and officials. Control what you can control. A referee’s decision is not an invitation for an argument.

Parents and spectators β€” support our kids. Don’t coach from the sideline. Don’t abuse officials. Don’t engage with opposition players, coaches or spectators. Don’t turn a junior basketball game into something it isn’t.

πŸ‘ Cheer our players.
πŸ‘ Encourage effort.
πŸ‘ Celebrate great basketball.
πŸ‘ Show respect β€” win or lose.
πŸ‘ Let the coaches coach.
πŸ‘ Let the referees referee.

Our club is built around Family, Community, Friendship, Growth, Respect and Unity.

Those values matter most when emotions are running high.

🚨 DON’T BE THAT PARENT. 🚨

Don’t be the parent screaming at a referee.
Don’t be the parent coaching every possession from the sideline.
Don’t be the parent arguing with opposition supporters.
Don’t be the parent whose behaviour embarrasses their child, their team or their club.

These are junior athletes.

Let them compete.
Let them make mistakes.
Let them learn.
Let them enjoy their Grand Final.

Be loud. Be passionate. Be proud. But be respectful.

The reputation of United is carried by every player, coach, parent and supporter who walks through those doors.

Regardless of what happens on the scoreboard, we want our kids walking out of St Clair knowing they represented themselves, their families and UNITED with pride.

πŸ“Ί CAN’T MAKE IT TO ST CLAIR?

To our U14 Boys and U14 Girls:

You’ve already made your club proud.

Now enjoy the moment, trust your teammates, play for each other and leave everything you’ve got on that floor.

TWO TEAMS. TWO GRAND FINALS. ONE UNITED. πŸ’™πŸ€
