One dance can make a difference. One act of kindness can change a life.

The recent devastating earthquake in Venezuela has left thousands of families facing unimaginable loss. Homes have been destroyed, communities have been displaced, and many people are in urgent need of food, shelter, and basic necessities.

As one global community, we believe that even from Adelaide, we can extend hope and compassion to those who need it most.

Sumbaloz is proud to bring together an amazing team of volunteer Zumba instructors from across Adelaide for a special 90-minute Zumba Party to raise funds for the victims of the Venezuela earthquake.

🌟 What an incredible night of energy, laughter and connection! 🌟

I had the absolute pleasure of running a Zumba class for an amazing group of international students and Student Ambassadors from Study Adelaide at the Yugo Adelaide building. 💃🕺🌏

For many of the students, it was their very first Zumba class, but that didn’t stop them from jumping in with huge smiles, open minds and so much enthusiasm. Watching everyone let go, feel free, and simply enjoy the music and movement was truly special. ❤️✨

Sometimes, being an international student can feel overwhelming and lonely, so creating spaces where people can connect, laugh, build confidence and express themselves is incredibly important. It was beautiful to see students step out of their comfort zones, make new friends, and leave the room feeling happier, more energized and empowered.

A huge thank you to Study Adelaide for giving me this opportunity and for continuously investing in experiences that support the wellbeing and social connection of international students. Your work makes a real difference in helping students feel welcomed and at home in Adelaide. 🙏💙

And to everyone who came along – thank you for bringing your amazing energy! You reminded me that dancing isn’t about being perfect; it’s about feeling alive, being yourself, and sharing joy with others. 🎶💫
