Week 7 of X League is done, and it certainly delivered.
This week's challenge was the front nine at St Andrews Jubilee, a course packed with trouble off the tee and greens that kept everyone guessing.

Unfortunately, Driving Straight were unable to field a team this week, resulting in a forfeit and handing Superior Logistics Australia's SLA Golfers the win by default.
The headline match, however, saw ladder leaders 3 Pye's & I take on Red Tins GC. Separated by just one point heading into the night, there was plenty on the line.

Both teams played outstanding golf, with each finishing under their handicap. Jemma P. from 3 Pye's & I claimed Low Net for the week with an impressive -8, while team captain Christian B. took out Low Gross with a score of +1. Despite losing his individual match on handicap, he still walked away with both Longest Drive (293m) and Nearest to the Pin (8.8m) honours.

With a 2-1 match victory, 3 Pye's & I have extended their lead at the top of the ladder and capped off the night by claiming every weekly accolade.

Week 6 brought another scramble round, with teams tackling the front 12 holes of Metropolitan Golf Course from the blue tees. With scramble scoring always capable of producing surprises, it was anyone's guess how the leaderboard would look at the end of the night.

Our first matchup saw the current ladder leaders "3 Pye's & I" take on the Season 1 champions, "SLA Golfers". It was a tight contest from start to finish, but "3 Pye's & I" have a firm grasp on that top rung and managed to edge out a hard-fought victory by just two strokes to strengthen their hold on top spot.

In the other bracket, the rookies "Red Tins GC" faced the Season 1 minor premiers, "Driving Straight". Unfortunately for "Driving Straight", their scramble fortunes didn't improve from Week 3, as "Red Tins GC" were dominant, and taking out an eight-stroke win. "Red Tins GC" also made their mark across the weekly honours, tying "3 Pye's & I" for Low Gross at -2, securing Low Net with a -7, and seeing captain Shane M. claim Nearest to the Pin with a shot finishing just 7.2 metres from the hole.

The gap between the top two teams and the rest of the field is beginning to grow, but with four weeks remaining before finals, there's still plenty of golf to be played and nothing is guaranteed.
