It might not have happened the way we expected it to — but nothing changes what these women have earned across an incredible season.

For the first time in Adelaide Atletico history, a women’s team are LEAGUE CHAMPIONS.

And this one means so much more than a trophy. 🩷

A few years ago, our female football story began with just one community women’s team.

Today, more than 120 girls and women wear the black and pink — and this team has helped show every one of those young girls what is possible.

They worked for this.
They fought for each other.
They represented Atletico with heart.
And now they are CHAMPIONS. 🏆

We were ready to line the sideline tomorrow and give these girls the crowd they deserve.

So we still will — we’re just bringing the celebration home and doing it Atletico style! 🥳🩷🖤

As I reflect on our time working together with the first team, I find myself feeling emotional about this chapter coming to a close. Our relationship has deepened to a point where lately, words often felt unnecessary.🥹

Uncharted territory as our dream debut season in rolls into finals football! A monumental opportunity awaits, forged through hard work, spirit and passion, as we take on the almighty challenge of Adelaide Olympic at L3 Football Stadium tonight in Angle Park.

𝘿𝙤-𝙤𝙧-𝙙𝙞𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙤𝙩𝙗𝙖𝙡𝙡. 𝙉𝙤 𝙨𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙙 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙨.

It’s all to play for in this incredible finals berth, with the remarkable chance of promotion now only a few wins away. We claimed victory at Olympic’s home earlier this season before they returned the favour on our turf in the return leg. The ledger stands at 1-1, but finals football is a different beast altogether.

After a brilliant clean sweep last weekend, our women’s sides head into Sunday encouraged by last weeks results! Division 3 powered to an 8-0 win over Mercedes OCSC, Division 5 secured a 3-0 victory over Port Pirates, and our U18 Girls came away with a 3-1 win against Salisbury Inter. 👏🔥
