⚽️ A Tough Battle Away from Home 💪
Last Saturday, our Metro team travelled to Moggill FC for Round 13 and put in a strong performance despite a 1-2 loss.
The boys took their chance well in the first half and went into the break with a deserved 1-0 lead. Moggill came back strongly in the second half, using their physical presence to win key 50-50 contests and eventually score twice.
To our team's credit, we never stopped fighting. The boys kept pushing forward, creating chances and taking plenty of shots right until the final whistle, but unfortunately couldn't find the equaliser.
A special shoutout to Ton Chau, who made countless saves throughout the game and kept us in the contest with an outstanding performance between the posts. 🧤👏

Our FQPL U23's played at home V QUT FC. In what was a tight game our boys went down 0-1 to a scrappy goal. Better composure in front of goals might have seen us come away with a win but overall it was a very good performance by the team. The stand outs were our players of the week, veteran CB Jono Valentine and our versatile midfielder Muhyadin who picks up this honour for the 2nd match in a row.

The FQPL5 team played at home last weekend V QUT FC. After a great start to the game and going up 1-0, a red card in the 30th minute to our goalkeeper swung the momentum and unfortunately our guys couldn't wrestle it back with the final result being a 3-6 loss. There was still some great performances especially by our players of the week Ricardo who bossed the midfield and was credited with 2 assists and also Hussein on the right wing who scored a brace.

Acacia Ridge O45 Div 3 lost 0-5 to Western Spirit tonight but great to see both teams enjoying some beverages together after the game.
