Acacia Ridge FQPL player Jake Maudsley will be representing Australia at the 2026 Transplant World Cup in Frankfurt from the 13th-18th of September.
Jake will be taking on some of the worlds best with the Australia team facing Germany, Wales, Italy & Northern Ireland in the group stages.
We wish Jake all the best and everyone at the club is behind him.

With the season for our seniors nearing the end I thought an update on the race for the Golden Boot would be appropriate. It has been a lean scoring year for our senior teams and the table reflects this with no one hitting double figures yet. The Metros, FQPL and U23's have finished there season so wont be adding to there tally which leaves Jamie in O45 div 2 with 2 games to go and Merso in O45 div 3 with 1 game to go the only chances of catching Hin from Metro 8. But last year we saw a 5 goal burst in the last 2 games from a masters player steal the golden boot so it may happen again.

Acacia Ridge FQPL5 squad travelled to 3rd place Bethania Rams on Saturday with a very undermanned squad due to injuries and suspensions but once again we saw our young brigade of 17 & 18 year olds step up and put in a stellar performance.
In a very even first half Acacia Ridge took the lead thanks to a great ball from returning midfielder Jake that found striker Abdul and he cooly finished past the keeper right on the stroke of half time. The 2nd half saw more action with Acacia Ridge defending and trying to hit on the counter. this nearly paid dividends when winger Housen made a great run and cut in firing of a great shot that clipped the cross bar. with 25 minutes to go a great strike from distance found the top corner for Bethania levelling it at 1-1. with about 12 minutes to go Bethania were awarded a penalty even though the contact appear to happen outside the box. Club captain and Gk Jeremy Stout stepped up and made his 5th penalty save of the season to keep the scores even and this was how the game finished. Unfortunately this means the guys will be relegated to FQPL6 for next season but we also put a dint into the big spending Bethania's chances of promotion. It was a great effort by the entire squad.

Yesterday, our Metro team travelled to face Bayside United in the Round 21 away game and delivered an outstanding 6-0 victory!
The boys took control from the opening minute and maintained their intensity all the way to the final whistle. It was a complete team performance, with strong attacking football, excellent teamwork, and goals coming from several different players.
A special mention to our defensive unit and goalkeeper for staying focused throughout the match and securing a well-deserved clean sheet. 👏
That makes it three wins in a row, a fantastic achievement and a great reward for everyone’s hard work.
Well done, boys! Let’s stay focused, keep supporting each other, and continue this strong run! 💪⚽

FQPL5 had a narrow 0-1 loss to Tarragindi on Saturday. The boys were the more dominant team but couldn't get the goals there effort deserved. Man Of the Match 18 year old Leo Romero came close twice with one finding the net but then bizarrely ruled out from a corner and another shot from distance forcing a fine save from there keeper.
