A concept many people will need to learn when training here, “Hurry up and wait”…. What the hell does that mean? It’s means, if you’re on time, you’re already late. Early is on time. On time is late and late is unacceptable. That’s the first lesson, discipline and accountability. You’ve come here to earn a positive result. You do not “get” results just because you paid and showed up. You make a sacrifice or you make a decision. Overweight? Let’s start by looking at your fridge. Not motivated, can’t be bothered? Do it anyway. That’s called discipline. Make the decision to do what is required, not what you feel like because doing what you feel like has brought you here in the first place. Your plan is not working…This can be remedied with two things, “Effort & Attitude “. Here, that is the only currency that matters. Over the years the criteria for training here has remained unchanged. I’ll train with anyone who walks through the door but make sure you “hurry up and wait”….

“You already know what to do, you’re just negotiating with comfort”….
When it comes to health, fitness, general physical preparedness, training etc. or simply living better for longer, most people already know what they should be doing even at the most basic level but still look for the shortcut, the easy way, the path of least resistance. What’s the least amount of work I can possibly do and still achieve a positive result? There’s no such thing. Cultivate a disciplined mindset and turn it into action. Don’t wait until everything is going just right in your world before you start and don’t do things only when you feel like it. Set small daily tasks and tick them off. Everyday. This requires practice as well. Action always beats intention. Keep your goals just out of reach, not out of sight. Be realistic. Don’t compare yourself to others on social media. All is not as it seems and you only see what they show you. YOU are in charge of how your day goes and any positive results you may earn. Take charge, be resilient, get used to hard work and some measure of discomfort. Just have a crack and you might be surprised. Hard work is no guarantee of success but without it, there’s no chance at all…
