We're wrappIng up our Cross Country season and already it's time to think about our Summer season, which is fast approaching!

We're opening the gates at Essendon Little Athletics for a morning of fun, athletics and community - and there will be something for everyone, both our existing athletes as well as some new faces!

On Saturday 12th September, come along to Moonee Valley Athletics Track and have a go at a range of track & field events, meet our coaches and volunteers, explore new skills and get a taste of what Little Athletics is all about.

We'll have everything from block starts, high jump and javelin, some great information sessions, fun parents and kids relays, giveaways, a sausage sizzle and ice cream truck!

🏆 State Winter Track & Field Championships 🏆

A huge congratulations to our ELAC athletes Evelyn, Flynn, Henry, Jayden, Leo & William, who took on the State Winter Track & Field Championships last weekend! 🖤❤️

A special shout out to William, who claimed 🥈 silver in the U17 Boys, and Henry, who also secured 🥈 silver in the U14 Boys. Well done boys!

With challenging weather conditions, we’re incredibly proud of all six athletes for persevering and representing ELAC so proudly both on the track and in the field. 👏

We have another ELAC achievement to celebrate - this time on the world stage! 🇰🇷

A huge congratulations to ELAC cross country coach Anna, who will be representing Australia at the 2026 World Masters Athletics Stadia Championships in Korea at the end of August! 🌏👏

While Anna spends her time on the track encouraging, supporting and developing our athletes at ELAC, this time it will be her turn to step onto the world stage.

What an incredible achievement, and such a fantastic example for our athletes that coaches can be athletes too, and there’s no age limit on chasing your goals! 🙌
