Haras Los Estribos

Today, the heart of Haras Los Estribos beats with profound sadness.
We announce the passing away of one of our greatest legends, right before returning home from France: our beloved stallion, 𝐑𝐎 𝐒𝐇𝐘 𝐃𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐘 (10/19/2007 - 2026).

Son of the great producer Arab stallion, WAGRAM (PL) and the thoroughbred mare, SHY RESBALADA (SPC), this extraordinary Anglo-Arabian marked a before and after in our breeding program and on tracks around the world.
As an athlete, he knew how to shine, with exceptional heart rates recoveries and proven stamina, but as a sire he wrote his true legacy in the history of endurance riding.
Crowned as the undisputed winner of the sire ranking for the 2023-24 season in the United Arab Emirates (and, second the previous season), RO Shy Dandy was the perfect combination: he inherited his mother’s long-distance genetics and crossed them with the extraordinary hearts that WAGRAM passed down. To our purebred Arabian mares, he brought that much-desired greater height, always guaranteeing stamina, and without losing that beautiful and unmistakable “Arabian” aesthetic.
It comforts us and fills us with pride to know that his name does not fade away.
His blood will continue to gallop strong on tracks all over the world through his brilliant progeny: champions like RO Castaño (aka CHA Shaham), RO Eclipse (aka CHA Eclipse), RO Fantástica, RO Generala, RO Lucky, and RO Balada, among others.
Thank you for everything you gave us, RO Shy Dandy.
Luckily we have a frozen semen reserve, that, even if with not with exportable quality, give us hopes to keep having products in the future.

Last Saturday, RO OTHAR (RO Attila), ridden by his trainer Patricia Fekete, was 🥉at the CEI3* 160 km held in Striegistal, Germany 🇩🇪.

- RO CENTURIÓN (Wagram (PL)) multiple 🥇 of CEI 1 and 2* in Argentina 🇦🇷 and now successful stallion standing at stud.

- RO ACUARELA (Wagram (PL), finished 4° and 5° un 120km in UAE 🇦🇪 ; 🥈in 120 km in UK 🇬🇧

- RO MAXIMO (Wagram (PL), 🥇 of CEI1* in Argentina 🇦🇷

New result update from last race held in Bragado, Argentina 🇦🇷!

On Saturday 27th took place the EIEV SERIES BRAGADO, Argentina 🇦🇷 and at the CEI2* 120 km, TIMBO BALTAZAR, ridden by his trainer, Josefina Rolt, finished 🥈(by a head).

TIMBO BALTAZAR is a son of RO CENTURIÓN (Wagram (PL)), bred by her owner Roxana Tagliaferro.

Makes us proud that, with this result, all the podium in that CEI2* 120 km race was related to our breeding farm (see previous post for more information).

Last Friday and Saturday was held the EIEV SERIES at Bragado, Argentina 🇦🇷 and were some results from us and our clients:

From our breeding farm, RO AFRICA, ridden by Nicolás Rodríguez, was 🥉at the CEI2* 120 km.

She is a daughter of SI PALENQUE (CL) (Kheersik el Asrit (FR) x Persik (RU)), paternal brother to:
- SI TIRRISTARRA, 🥇 in UAE 🇦🇪 and France 🇫🇷
- SI QUILOMBO, 🥇 in UAE 🇦🇪
And her dam, RO SERENA (Wagram (PL)), is full sister to:
- RO NILO (aka SUPER), 🥇 in UAE 🇦🇪
- RO CENTAURO, 🥇 in France 🇫🇷, Portugal 🇵🇹 and Spain 🇪🇸.
- RO ULYSES, two times podium finisher in UAE 🇦🇪

BOX ITACA, ridden by Josefina Ballester Molina, was 🥇 at the CEI3* 140 km. She is a daughter of RO IVÁN (RO Shy Dandy) bred by Haras San Felipe, owned by María Chas and Beatriz Muriel.

PM FARRUQUITO (Tidarbret(GB)), ridden by Catalina Bastons, was 🥇 at the CEI2* 120 km. He is a son of RO ATENEA (Magic Mark CAF (US)) bred by Haras Don Perucho, owned by Enrique Pochinchesta. PM FARRUQUITO is currently owned by MAB Stables 🇦🇪 and trained by Leonel Gomez.

NSG MILAN, ridden by Libe Bertotto, was 🥈 at the CEI1* 100 km YR. He is a son of RO FAMOSO (Wagram(PL)) bred by Haras Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, own by Antonio Indavere. NSG MILÁN is also currently owned by MAB Stables 🇦🇪 and trained by Leonel Gomez.

Last Friday 15th and Saturday 16th of May, were held endurance races in Bragado, Argentina 🇦🇷, where several of our client’s and our horses had great performances.

On Friday:

BOX Presumida (RO Centurión), ridden by Josefina Ballester Molina, was 🥇 and Best Condition awarded at the CEI3* 140 km.

NSG Dr. strange (RO Famoso), ridden by Antonella Moreno, was🥈and RO Fernet (SI Palenque (CL)), ridden by Maria del Pilar Zannino, was 7th at the CEI1* 100 km.

RO Paris (SI Palenque (CL)), ridden by Nicolás Rodríguez, was 🥇 at the CEN 80 km.

On Saturday:

NSG Olaf (RO Famoso), ridden by María del Pilar Zannino, was 🥇at the CEI2* 120 km.

NSG Tini (RO Famoso), ridden by Lucia Susena, was 🥇 at the CEI1* YR.

RO Africa (SI Palenque (CL)), ridden by Nicolás Rodríguez, was 7th at the CEI1*.

Great results at Bragado, Argentina 🇦🇷! ( Part II)

Last 13th and 14th of March were a great couple of days for NSG Endurance and their offspring from RO Famoso (Wagram (PL))
NSG Olaf was 🥇 at 100 km and NSG Dr Strange was 🥇at 80 km, both horses were ridden by Antonella Moreno and were Best Condition awarded.

And, at the CEN 80 km, RO FERNET (SI Palenque (CL)), ridden by Nicolás Rodríguez, was 🥇.

RO Lady Juliana is maternal sister to RO Hamlet (Wagram (PL)) (winner in UAE 🇦🇪) and full sister to: RO Lady Di (winner in Argentina 🇦🇷 ) and RO Lady Valentina (5th in UAE 🇦🇪).

BOX Patron is by RO Iván (RO Shy Dandy), bred at Haras San Felipe, breeding farm from María Chas and Beatriz Muriel.

RO Mapuche (RO Shy Dandy) is trained at Haras La Legua and owned by Nicolás Darritchon. He was already twice 🥇 at CEI1* 100 km and this was his first 120 km.

RO Fernet (SI Palenque (CL)), is by RO Muñeca (Wagram (PL)), broodmare that was proven in the endurance racing, winner of CEI1* 100 km.
