Edgar Sevikyan is headed back to Spain.

The 25 year old Armenia international has joined Segunda División side AD Ceuta on loan from Ferencváros through the end of the 2026/27 season.

Sevikyan returns to Spanish football after previously spending four years in Levante’s system and playing for the club’s reserve team. He joins Ceuta after recent loan spells with Lokomotiv Moscow and Akron Tolyatti.

The winger has made 21 official appearances for Ferencváros with two goals and one assist, while also winning the Hungarian league title with the club.

Sevikyan now becomes the second Armenian footballer with ties to Ceuta and joins fellow Armenia international Hrant Leon Ranos in Spain’s second division.

Karlen Hovhannisyan is officially on the move.

The 21-year-old Armenia international has transferred from FC Pyunik to RPL side FC Akron Tolyatti, signing a five-year contract.

Hovhannisyan’s rise has been especially impressive considering he only returned to Pyunik in June 2025 after completing his mandatory military service. During his two years of service, he played for army club BKMA, making 53 appearances with four goals and one assist.

After returning to his boyhood club, the Pyunik academy product quickly established himself in the starting lineup, was named the club’s Player of the Season and earned his first call-up to Armenia’s senior national team. He made his international debut against Belarus in March.

Hovhannisyan leaves Pyunik with 38 first-team appearances, two goals and one assist, and now takes the next big step of his career in the RPL.

Armenian and French football legends link up.

Former Armenia national team star Yura Movsisyan met with Chelsea and France legend Claude Makélélé alongside fitness coach Raphaël Fèvre, with Movsisyan sharing the photo from his office.

The reason for the meeting remains unknown, but Movsisyan offered one intriguing hint:

“Big things coming.”

Jean-Paul Lebosnoyani announced his next UFC fight for Halloween, and fireworks are expected.

The Armenian-American welterweight will face undefeated Azerbaijani Farman Hasanov on October 31 at the UFC Meta Apex.

Lebosnoyani enters the matchup with an 11-2 professional record and is 2-0 since joining the UFC, earning victories over Phil Rowe and SeokHyeon Ko. He has now won six straight fights since moving up to welterweight.

Hasanov is 6-0 professionally and 1-0 in the UFC. The 31-year-old made his UFC debut in June in Baku, defeating Eric Nolan by unanimous decision. Four of his six professional victories have come by knockout.

Karen Khachanov is through to the second round of the 2026 US Open after a dominant straight sets victory over Argentina’s Román Andrés Burruchaga, 6-3, 6-0, 6-1.

The Armenian tennis star dropped just four games in the entire match, taking complete control after the opening set to begin his run in New York in impressive fashion.

Khachanov, a US Open semifinalist in 2022, now moves on to the second round at Flushing Meadows.
