Record-breaking Mississippi row | University of Southampton Well, back in 2016, five University of Southampton friends (Matt Poudevigne, Nick Rakowski, Rory Ormiston, Hector Strickland, and Paul Heerema) had the crazy idea to row the Atlantic Ocean to raise money for Cancer Research.

Repost - “Listening to the audio, the film doesn’t do the conditions justice. This was probably 10 metre high swells. Some days were calm. Some days were rough. Some days were frustratingly slow & some days exhilaratingly quick. The weather & sea conditions varied dramatically throughout the crossing. Whilst searching through my pics & videos I came across this clip - gives you an idea of conditions on one of the less calm days. This was taken on 12/01/2020”
