When a young dancer understands the precise meaning behind an Asamyutta (single) or Samyukta (double) hand gesture, they bridge the gap between simple exercise and profound communication. True dance education begins when the mind understands what the hands express. Understanding the theory behind the practice ensures that every story told on stage is authentic and textually accurate.
The lotus grows in muddy water but remains untouched by it. Similarly, devotion to Lord Rama, who embodies lotus-like purity, helps the mind remain peaceful and detached amid worldly anxieties.

It demands that the lower body remains firmly grounded and heavy in Araimandi, while the upper body remains erect, open, and buoyant.
