Another productive evening at Jewel Park as we worked on our Tempo Run, Easy Run, and Interval Training sessions. Every workout had its own purpose—building endurance, improving speed, and making us stronger runners, one step at a time. 💪🏅
The weather and fatigue may challenge us, but our commitment to our goals keeps us moving forward. Every lap, every stride, and every drop of sweat brings us closer to becoming better versions of ourselves.
To everyone who showed up and gave their best tonight, congratulations! Consistency and discipline are what turn goals into achievements.

Your body is actually made to adapt.
Kaya nga nakakamangha kung paano tayo nasasanay sa mga bagay na dati ay akala natin imposible.
Remember your first few weeks of exercise?
Yung simpleng hagdan lang, hinihingal ka.
Yung ilang minuto ng jogging, parang napakahaba na.
Yung unang plank mo, parang isang oras kahit ilang segundo pa lang.
Pero habang tumatagal, nagbabago ang katawan mo.
Not because exercise becomes easier.
But because your body becomes better.
The human body is one of the most adaptable things on Earth.
Kapag lagi kang nakaupo, mas nasasanay itong umupo.
Kapag lagi kang nakahiga, mas nasasanay itong hindi gumalaw.
Pero kapag lagi kang gumagalaw, natututo rin itong gumalaw nang mas mahusay.
Your heart adapts.
Your lungs adapt.
Your muscles adapt.
Even your mind adapts.
Kaya minsan, ang mga bagay na dating mahirap ay nagiging normal na lang.
At doon minsan nagkakaroon ng problema.
Nakakalimutan natin kung gaano kalayo na pala ang narating natin.
Nakakalimutan natin na dati, pangarap lang natin ang mga bagay na normal na sa atin ngayon.
Dati, pangarap makatakbo ng 5KM.
Ngayon, warm-up na lang iyon para sa iba.
Dati, nahihirapan maglakad nang matagal.
Ngayon, naghahanap na ng mas mahabang route.
Dati, hirap bumangon nang maaga.
Ngayon, nagigising bago pa tumunog ang alarm para sa workout.
Ganun kalakas ang power of adaptation.
Hindi mo ito napapansin araw-araw dahil unti-unti ang pagbabago.
Pero kapag lumingon ka sa pinanggalingan mo, doon mo makikita kung gaano kalaki ang difference.
Kaya minsan, bago ka mag-focus sa susunod mong goal, take a moment to appreciate your current version.
Because at one point in your life, this version of you was the goal.
At habang patuloy kang gumagalaw, mag-aadapt ulit ang katawan mo.
Magiging mas malakas.
Mas matatag.
Mas capable.
Not overnight.
Not in a week.
But little by little.
Because that’s what the human body was designed to do.
Adapt, improve, and surprise you.

🏃♂️🔥 FITKADA DXB L*D 21KM COMPLETED! 🔥🏃♀️
From Jewel Park to Zabeel Park, our Long Slow Distance (L*D) Half Marathon was definitely not an easy one. The high humidity, warm weather, and almost no breeze tested both our physical and mental strength. 💦☀️
But despite the challenging conditions, every member showed determination, discipline, and teamwork. We kept moving, supported one another, and most importantly—we finished strong! 💪🏅
This run reminds us that progress isn't always about speed; it's about showing up, staying consistent, and pushing through when things get tough.
Congratulations, Fitkada DXB family! Another milestone conquered together. 🙌

Your body starts losing fitness faster than most people think.
According to studies, after around 2 weeks of complete inactivity, your cardiovascular fitness can already start to decline. Hindi ibig sabihin na mawawala lahat ng pinaghirapan mo, pero doon mo mararamdaman yung parang mas mabilis kang hingalin o mas mabigat ang pakiramdam sa mga dating madaling workouts.
Pero eto ang magandang balita.
Mas mabilis bumalik ang fitness kaysa noong una mo itong binuo.
Ito ang tinatawag na muscle memory.
Kaya kung dati kang runner, cyclist, gym-goer, o active na tao tapos natigil ka dahil sa work, bakasyon, injury, o life responsibilities, huwag mong isipin na back to zero ka agad.
Hindi.
May foundation ka pa rin.
Parang bahay na may matibay nang pundasyon. Kahit pansamantalang walang nakatira, hindi ibig sabihin na mawawala na ang buong bahay.
Kaya minsan nakakalungkot makita ang mga taong ayaw nang bumalik sa fitness dahil feeling nila nasayang lahat ng progress nila.
“Ang bagal ko na ulit.”
“Ang hina ko na.”
“Hindi ko na kaya yung dati kong distance.”
Pero ang tanong…
Bakit mo ikukumpara ang sarili mo ngayon sa best version mo noon?
Mas magandang ikumpara mo ang sarili mo ngayon sa taong walang ginagawa para sa kalusugan niya.
Because the hardest part is not getting fit.
The hardest part is deciding to start again.
At kung nagbabalik ka pa lang sa pagtakbo o pagwo-workout, tandaan mo:
Hindi mo kailangang habulin agad ang dating pace.
Hindi mo kailangang tapatan agad ang dati mong distance.
Hindi mo kailangang patunayan kahit kanino na magaling ka pa rin.
You only need to show up.
One run.
One workout.
One walk.
One healthy choice at a time.
Because fitness is not about never stopping.
It’s about always finding your way back.
Kaya kung matagal ka nang hindi nakakatakbo o nakakapag-exercise, baka ito na ang sign mo.
Hindi para maging pinakamabilis.
Hindi para mag-post sa social media.
Kundi para alagaan ulit ang katawan na araw-araw kang dinadala kung saan mo gustong makarating.

One of the most unexpected things about joining a running group is that sometimes, you stay because of the people—not because of the running.
Maraming sumasali sa running groups para pumayat.
Yung iba para maging healthy.
Yung iba dahil may upcoming race.
At meron ding sumasali dahil wala lang talagang kakilala at naghahanap ng bagong hobby.
Pero habang tumatagal, may nangyayaring hindi mo inaasahan.
Yung mga dating strangers, nagiging familiar faces.
Yung simpleng “good morning” sa run, nagiging mahahabang kwentuhan.
Yung mga taong nakakasabay mo lang dati sa jogging track, bigla mo na lang kasama kumain pagkatapos ng run.
At bago mo mamalayan, may nabuo nang friendship.
Hindi dahil pare-pareho kayo ng trabaho.
Hindi dahil magkapitbahay kayo.
Hindi dahil magkaklase kayo.
Kundi dahil pare-pareho kayong nagpakita sa parehong lugar, sa parehong oras, paulit-ulit.
Nakakatawa nga isipin.
Sa normal na buhay, bihira tayong makipagkaibigan sa random strangers.
Pero sa running community, normal na normal.
Minsan hindi mo alam ang apelyido nila.
Hindi mo alam ang edad nila.
Hindi mo alam kung saan sila nagtatrabaho.
Pero alam mo kung gaano sila kabilis tumakbo.
Alam mo kung anong paborito nilang route.
At alam mo kung sino ang laging nauuhaw after 2KM.
Running has a unique way of bringing people together.
Walang ranking.
Walang status.
Walang position.
Kapag nasa track o nasa kalsada na kayo, lahat pantay-pantay.
Lahat humihingal.
Lahat pinagpapawisan.
Lahat may kanya-kanyang laban.
At baka iyon ang dahilan kung bakit maraming tao ang nananatili sa running community.
Hindi dahil sa medals.
Hindi dahil sa race bibs.
Hindi dahil sa personal records.
Kundi dahil sa mga taong nakilala nila along the way.
Because sometimes, the best thing you gain from running isn’t a stronger body.
It’s finding a group of people who make the journey more enjoyable.
And that’s something no race medal can replace.
