Few players have left a mark on the game quite like Zdeno Chára.

From Slovakia to the NHL, Slovak's legendary defensemen has built a career defined by strength, leadership and determination that includes 1,680 games, a Stanley Cup, a Norris Trophy and a place among hockey’s all-time greats. 🇸🇰🏆

As we look toward another exciting season for the Sandstorms, Zdeno has a message for our hockey family.

A message from a legend.
For the new season ahead.

One of Slovakia’s greatest goal scorers, Marián Gáborík spent 17 seasons in the NHL, scoring 407 goals and 815 points, before lifting the Stanley Cup with the Los Angeles Kings in 2014.

And as we’re kicking off for new season soon, Marián has a few words for the Sandstorms.

Meet Stephen, one of our dedicated U18 athletes who started his hockey journey with Sandstorms.

Years of learning, training and growing on the ice have brought him to where he is today, helping younger players work through the same drills he once learned himself.

As a community, we love to see our athletes pass on what they’ve learned to the next generation.
