I'll be honest. I usually skip International Women's Day.
Not out of cynicism. But because in my world, every day is women's day. How could it not be? It's what I am.
But today I woke up feeling something different.
Soft. Still. And more powerful than I've felt in a long time.
Not the kind of power that announces itself. Not the kind that needs a room to notice it.
The other kind. The quiet kind. The kind that simply knows.
I think this is what we're really celebrating today. Not the fighting. Not the achieving. Not the proving.
The part of us that was never in question.
