The reception was attended by Hideaki Ohmura, Governor of Aichi Prefecture; Ichiro Hirosawa, Mayor of Nagoya; Murate Satoshi, Secretary General of AINAGOC; Asian Paralympic Committee President Majid Rashed and CEO Tarek Souei; Japan Paralympic Committee President Kazuyuki Mori, alongside distinguished guests and senior officials.

With less than 100 days to go, preparations are entering the final stretch as Nagoya city and Aichi Prefecture get ready to welcome Asia's finest Para athletes for the region's biggest Para sport event.

Around 3000 athletes from 45 NPCs will compete across 18 Para sports at 19 venues during the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Para Games, taking place from 18-24 October.

As the countdown to the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Para Games continues, the Asian Paralympic Committee and AINAGOC came together for the 5th and final Coordination Commission Meeting to review preparations across every key operational area.

From the athletes' journey and ceremonies to media operations, broadcast, venue readiness, and the opening ceremony, every discussion focused on taking another step towards delivering an unforgettable edition of the Asian Para Games.

The meeting was attended by Aichi Prefecture Governor Hideaki Ohmura, Nagoya Mayor Ichiro Hirosawa, Asian Paralympic Committee President Majid Rashed, Japan Paralympic Committee President Kazuyuki Mori, as well as representatives from AINAGOC and the APC.

A significant milestone was celebrated in Nagoya as the 100 Days to Go event for the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Para Games brought together dignitaries, partners, and the local community.

The ceremony featured the unveiling of the official torch, medals, torch relay uniform, and commemorative gifts, marking another exciting step on the road to Asia's biggest Para sport event.

A delegation from Asian Paralympic Committee led by President Majid Rashed joined the celebrations as anticipation continues to build across the continent.
