I used to think looking after myself was something Iād get to when everything else was done.
Turns out, everything else is never done.
There will always be work that could be finished, something the kids need, a house that could be tidier, someone I could reply to, something I could be doing ābetterā.
So somewhere along the way I stopped waiting for life to calm down and started building a life where taking care of myself was just part of it.
Iām a better coach when I have energy. A better mum when I have patience. Better at running my business when my head isnāt fried. And generally just a much nicer human when Iāve actually looked after myself.
None of it is particularly groundbreaking. Thatās probably the point.
Itās the boring little things I do over and over again that keep me feeling like me ā even when life is absolutely mental.
You donāt need more time for yourself.
You need to stop putting yourself at the bottom of the list.

This is exactly why I created Hybrid Coaching.
You get the face-to-face accountability of training with me, alongside the structure and support of full online coaching ā because what you do for a few hours in the gym matters, but what you do during the other 160+ hours of your week matters even more.
We dial in your training, nutrition, steps, habits, routine and accountability.
So youāre not left wondering if youāre doing enough.
Youāre not smashing your classes but winging everything outside them.

I used to be you.
I was broken too.
1200 calories a day. It didnāt work? Eat less.
Convinced Iād completely shattered my metabolism and that my body just didnāt work like everyone elseās.
Healthy food shop every Sunday. āThis time Iām actually doing it.ā
Start again every Monday.
Be perfect for a few days. Fall off. Feel like Iād failed. Try again.
And every time the cycle repeated, I blamed myself a little more.
I thought I lacked willpower. I thought I was the problem. I thought other women could somehow just do it and I couldnāt.
Turns out, I hadnāt broken my metabolism.
What was broken was my entire approach to food, dieting and fat loss.
I didnāt need more discipline.
I needed to learn a completely different way.
And I think thatās why I care so much about the women who come to me feeling exactly like I once did.
Because I know how it feels to genuinely believe you are the problem.
Youāre not.
If you read this post and thought āf**k, this is meā ā maybe this is your sign.
Maybe itās time you did things differently.
And finally broke the cycle for good.

Iām a woman who has built a life Iām incredibly proud of, but Iām still ambitious about the person I become next.
So, at probably the happiest and most content point of my life, Iāve decided to start therapy.
Thereās no crisis. Nothing has happened. Iām not trying to fix myself. If anything, I feel like Iāve finally got my s**t together š
But thatās kind of the point.
The last 6 years since starting this business have probably been some of the biggest years of my life. Iāve built a business, grown massively as a person, navigated parenthood ā but Iāve also navigated some really difficult things behind the scenes.
And I became very good at just⦠getting on with it.
Now life is good. Really good. So INCREDIBLY good.
So maybe the next level of self-development isnāt about achieving more. Maybe itās about understanding myself more.
Why can we know something doesnāt matter but still let it bother us? Why do certain opinions get under our skin while others donāt? How much of who we are is just us ā and how much was shaped by everything weāve experienced along the way?
We invest so much into developing our bodies, careers, relationships and lives, yet therapy is still often seen as something you do when something is wrong.
What if nothing is wrong?
What if youāve got your s**t together, you really like yourself and your life⦠but youāre still ambitious about the person you could become?
I tell women all the time that you donāt have to hate yourself to want to work on yourself.
Maybe our minds should be no different.
Nothing is broken. Thereās just always room to know yourself better and I think it could be super powerful š¤

The truth is, youāll never reach your goal.
Not because you canāt lose the weight, build the muscle, get stronger or completely change your physique, fitness and health.
But because that imaginary finish line where you finally look at yourself and think āYep. Done. I wouldnāt change a thingā probably doesnāt exist. I know you look at others and think this exists because if you were them youād be happy.
But goals move. For everyone. For you, me, athletes, bodybuilders.
You lose weight, then you want more shape.
You build your glutes, then you want to be leaner.
You get leaner, then you decide you liked yourself a little softer.
You reach the weight you swore would make you happy⦠and suddenly thereās something else.
And I donāt actually think thereās anything wrong with wanting more for yourself.
But maybe the goal shouldnāt be a body you finally consider āfinishedā.
Maybe itās getting to a place where you donāt hate your body.
Where you feel confident.
Where exercise is just something you do.
Where you eat well without food consuming your thoughts.
Where you stop yo-yoing between being completely on it and completely off it.
Where you stop looking for the quickest fix and build habits you can actually maintain.
Where looking after yourself becomes as important as looking after everyone else.
Where your mental health, confidence and quality of life are better because of the things you do for yourself.
Have the physique goals. Chase them. Change them when you want to.
But donāt spend your whole life waiting to reach some imaginary finish line before you allow yourself to feel successful.
Maybe the real goal is building a LIFE and a body youāre actually happy living in along the way.
