Have a bigger boat to sail this week, but unfortunately without sails.
Had my last command of cargo ship 16 years ago, since than just occasional visits sometimes connected with short sailing onboard.

Off-season H-Cup means three racing days in extreme heat of over +40, over 30 participants: keelboats and multihulls racing together and only one winner 🏆
It was tough, but we did it! After first race we got 7 minutes penalty to our starting time, after second race - another 6 minutes, finally we beat second place by one point only 😉

Pursuit races is a smart solution for midweek evening races and for off-season summer races.
There's no starting sequence, no committee boat, just the course and starting time assigned for each boat according to her rating. Finish time is the same for all. So, your position in the fleet is your race result.
To add more fun, top 5 boats from the fleet get additional time penalty for the next race. Correspondingly, if you finish in the end of the fleet, next race you start earlier.
Means, if you regularly finish amongst top five, your starting time gets postponed more and more. So it happens for us. Last Wednesday we started 37 minutes behind the first boat, but still managed to get to podium. The wind was good and Dragonfly was flying.

Racing season might be completed, but sailing continues despite the summer heat.
Successful start yesterday for off-season pursuit races.
Limitations: spinnakers are not in use for the sailors not to be physically overloaded in over +40 heat.
Advantages: keelboats and multihulls racing together, more boats - more fun.

End of season awards 2025-2026. The season was somewhat shrunk due to military conflict in the Middle East, nevertheless left us with many good memories and the feeling of achievement.
1st place 🥇in Offshore series and 2nd place 🥈 in Commodore's Cup can be considered as a good result.
So, we have all the reason to party 🥳🎉

I might be on the 2nd place 🥈, but definitely have the most beautiful crew on the podium 😜
