🏆 Spain national football team will win the 2026 World Cup. At least, that’s what the developers of EA Sports FC 26 seem to think.
Over the last 16 years, an interesting pattern has emerged: since 2010, EA Sports has correctly predicted every World Cup winner. The company, known for the FIFA and EA FC series, traditionally hints at the champion in promotional content tied to the tournament.
In World Cup years, the game receives a special international tournament mode, allowing players to build squads from participating national teams. These updates are often accompanied by videos in which EA simulates the tournament using its supercomputer or includes subtle references to a future champion.
This year, one scene in the promotional video featured a newspaper headline reading:
"Spain – World Cup Champions in EA FC 26."
Do we believe it? 🤔
