ہمارے مایہ ناز شکاری دوست پورے لاؤ لشکر کے ساتھ مورچے میں گھات لگا کر بیٹھ گئے۔ پانی میں نقلی مرغابیاں (Decoys) ایسے سجائیں کہ جیسے مرغابیوں کی کوئی خفیہ میٹنگ چل رہی ہو۔ بندوق ہاتھ میں تھامے، سانس روکے وہ ایسے چھپے بیٹھے تھے جیسے آج تو جھیل کی ساری مرغابیاں انہی کے کچن میں پہنچیں گی۔
اچانک قسمت مہربان ہوئی اور مرغابیوں کا پورا جھنڈ شور مچاتا ہوا بالکل ان کے سر کے عین اوپر آ گیا۔ ہمیں لگا کہ اب چلے گی گولی اور ہو گا شکار! دوست نے بندوق بھی تانی، نشانہ بھی پکا کیا... لیکن شاید وہ مرغابیوں کی گنتی کرنے میں مصروف ہو گئے یا پھر انہیں لگا کہ "اتنی معصوم پرندوں پر گولی چلانا ظلم ہے"۔ جھنڈ سکون سے ان کے اوپر سے اڑتا ہوا آگے نکل گیا اور ہمارے شکاری بھائی بندوق تھامے بس آسمان کو تکتے رہ گئے۔
جب جھنڈ دور نکل گیا، تو انہوں نے بندوق نیچے رکھی اور انتہائی معصومانہ مسکراہٹ کے ساتھ انگوٹھا دکھا کر گویا اعلان کیا: "یار! وہ تو رینج سے باہر تھیں!" اب کوئی ان سے پوچھے، بھائی اگر بالکل سر کے اوپر آئی مرغابیاں بھی رینج سے باہر تھیں، تو کیا آپ نے شکار خلائی اسٹیشن (ISS) سے کرنا تھا؟ 😂

Facts was founded by former Microsoft CEO and owner of the Los Angeles Clippers,[4] Steve Ballmer.[5][6] Ballmer invested his own money in the project.[7] USAFacts was launched on April 18, 2017 Tax Day, with the goal of making government data about tax revenues, expenditures, and outcomes more accessible and understandable. USAFacts's platform is designed to provide information to the public about government spending and impact at all levels, from federal to local.[8][9][10] It includes information about border apprehensions, climate, immigration, active shooters, medicare, education, military spending and opioids.[4] It also helps entrepreneurs to figure out the best location to launch or invest in businesses.[7]

At launch, the website gathered data from over 70 government agencies and pulls data from more than 130 US government statistical databases and reports.[11][non-primary source needed] Only official government data is included in the site.[12][13][5]

In September 2018, USAFacts launched a new Voter Center. This compares government data with the positions members of Congress state publicly and shares information about education, healthcare, tariffs, jobs, immigration, economy, guns, etc. Partners of the Vote Center are Countable, BallotReady and TurboVote.[14]

In November 2018, USAFacts partnered with GeekWire, to produce the podcast Numbers Geek.[15]
