We are excited to launch the next edition of the JJIF Online Challenge, open to athletes of all ages, levels, and nationalities!

The Ju-Jitsu International Federation (JJIF) and Lino Team Ju-Jitsu have officially confirmed the continuation of the Genoa Open Grand Prix, with the next edition set for 📅 20–21 February 2027 in Genoa, Italy.
Following impressive growth in recent years, the event remains part of the official JJIF World Ranking Calendar under the patronage of FIJLKAM, further strengthening Genoa’s position as a key destination on the international ju-jitsu circuit.
✨ New for 2027: the tournament will move to the renovated Palasport Waterfront Sport Komplex, offering world-class facilities for athletes, coaches, officials, and fans.

Historic Milestone for University Sport!

For the first time, Ju-Jitsu / Jiu-Jitsu was featured in an official FISU event, marking a significant step forward for the sport within the global university sports movement.

Recognized by FISU since 2020, JJIF’s university sport activities were initially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2025, JJIF successfully reactivated its university sport program through the FISU-endorsed World University Ju-Jitsu Series, with events hosted in Colombia and Thailand.

Event Highlights:
• 48 athletes
• 9 countries
• 3 continents represented
• 16 medal events in Jiu-Jitsu
• Competition held across two belt divisions, providing opportunities for athletes of different experience levels
• Outstanding technical standard demonstrated throughout the competition

This successful debut reflects the growing global presence of Ju-Jitsu in university sport and paves the way for future development within the FISU framework.
