Congratulations to all crews who competed at the recent 15th IDBF Club Crew World Championships in Taiwan! Many great memories were made there, from the beautiful race site and tight racing to the delicious local food and spectacular opening ceremony. Some highlights:

192 🐉 total US entries were raced from 22 different clubs from across the country, proudly representing all four USDBF Regions (PacDBA, ADBA, SRDBA, ERDBA).

72 🏅 total medals were won by US crews—including a world record-matching 15 gold medals by the Philadelphia Dragon Boat Association!

4 💨 new IDBF world's fastest times were set by 3 different US clubs with blazingly fast times:
Overall fastest time (including WDBRCs and CCWCs) for Senior C Mixed Standard, 500m:
- Philadelphia Dragon Boat Association - 2:02.74
Fastest time at a CCWC:
- Lincoln Dragon Boat Team - 18U Open Standard, 500m - 1:59.61
- Rose City Rockets Paddling Club - ACP Open Standard, 500m - 2:28.40
- Rose City Rockets Paddling Club - ACP Open Standard, 200m - 0:57.43

3 🏁 International Race Officials from the US worked tirelessly to help keep CCWC running smoothly: special shoutouts to Keith Taylor, Naomi Nakagawa, and Lily Lo for their dedication and hard work!

Many thanks to the International Dragon Boat Federation (IDBF), the 中華民國龍舟協會 Chinese Taipei Dragon Boat Association, and all volunteers for running one of the biggest and best CCWC events in history.

The 18th IDBF World Dragon Boat Racing Championships will be held from 17–24 October 2027 at Kwun Tong Promenade, Hong Kong, China.

Hosted by the 中國香港龍舟總會 Hong Kong China Dragon Boat Association , WDBRC 2027 marks 30 years since Hong Kong last hosted the World Championships in 1997, a return to the city where modern international dragon boat racing began.

Congratulations to the winners of the USDBF Youth Committee Logo Contest!

A huge CONGRATULATIONS to the winningest club in the world: the Philadelphia Dragon Boat Association!

At the just-completed IDBF Club Crew World Championships Hualien 2026, the ”PDBA” easily topped the International Dragon Boat Federation (IDBF) medal chart — with a historic 15 golds! 🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇

We also want to send a big shout-out to our other gold medalists: SouthBreeze (5), Lincoln Dragon Boat (3), Rose City Rockets (3), UNYTED (3), Adaptive Fusion (2), and Ohana New England (1).

Other USDBF medalists include: Discovery Pathways Philadelphia, Seattle SAKE, UEAA, Bucks, SACA, and C*C San Francisco.

Let's also acknowledge all the members of these clubs who trained with these clubs — yet were not able to attend these World Championships. All club members helped propel their clubs to the medal stand.

Creating a gold medal-winning Team USA is the USDBF’s top priority and coaches have the responsibility to ensure Team USA comes first.
