Say hello to Natasha!

We asked our lovely reformer instructor a few questions so you can get to know her a bit better 🤍

🌿 How did you first discover Pilates?

As a teen, I used to read a lot of celebrity magazines and came across an article on Pilates. Fast forward to 2010, I moved to London for Uni, stumbled into a tiny boutique studio, took my first reformer class and was instantly hooked!

🌿 What is one thing you always encourage clients to focus on?

Breath, always! It’s one of the core principles Pilates was built on yet it’s the first thing people forget once the class starts. Breathing properly switches on your deep core and keeps you present in every movement instead of just pushing through it. Master your breath, and everything else clicks into place.

🌿 How do you want people to feel when they leave your class?

Strong, empowered, and a little surprised by themselves. That “wait... I actually just did that?!” moment is one of my favorite thing to witness. Whether it’s powering through a tough set or nailing a move they swore they couldn’t do. I want them walking out with a real sense of accomplishment like they just proved something to themselves.

Meet Maryna!

Every instructor has a story. We asked Maryna a few questions so you can get to know the person behind the encouragement, energy, and sculpt expertise!

🌿 How did you first get into fitness and coaching?

After finishing my professional athletics career and getting my BA of Sport Education, I went to the Fitness Academy of Ukraine to get my fitness instructor certification. That was back in 2012!

🌿 What do you love most about teaching sculpt classes?

I like that we engage all of our muscles with different angles and weights. It’s a different burn to the one you get in the gym.

🌿 What’s something your clients might be surprised to learn about you?

One thing that might surprise my clients is that before becoming a health and wellness coach, I spent 10 years as a track and field athlete. That experience taught me discipline, resilience, and the importance of building healthy habits for life - not just for fitness goals.

Meet Selena!

We asked Selena a few questions so you can get to know one of our long time Breathe family members a little bit better:

🌿 What made you want to become a Pilates instructor?

I’ve always loved movement and been fascinated by what the human body is capable of. Pilates had a huge impact on how I felt in my own body. The more I practised, the more I realised there was always something new to learn and explore.
Experiencing those benefits inspired me to become a teacher. I wanted to help others feel stronger, more confident, and more connected to their bodies.

🌿 What’s your favourite class to teach and why?

My favourite classes to teach are Classical Mat Pilates classes. I love the simplicity and challenge of the mat work, and how the original sequence develops strength, control, mobility, and coordination. It’s incredibly rewarding to see clients progress and discover just how strong they really are.

🌿 What’s one wellness habit you can’t live without?

Going to bed on time! As someone who teaches early mornings and loves to stay active, I’ve learned that protecting my sleep is non-negotiable. A good night’s sleep helps me feel stronger, think more clearly, and show up as the best version of myself for my family, clients and myself.
