Gutu High Qualifies for Under-20 Provincial Championships

Gutu High School has once again demonstrated its football excellence after emerging as District Champions to qualify for the Under-20 Provincial Championships following an impressive performance at the District Competitions.

The team's journey began with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Nerupiri Secondary School in their opening match. They then played out a goalless draw against Chikwerengwe Secondary School before sealing their place in the knockout stages with another 1-0 win over Cheninga Secondary School.

In a thrilling semi-final encounter, Gutu High battled to a 1-1 draw with Mupandawana High School. The match was decided by a dramatic penalty shootout, where Gutu High held their nerve to triumph 8-7, earning a place in the final.

The final saw Gutu High produce another disciplined performance, defeating Guni Secondary School 1-0 to be crowned District Champions and secure qualification for the Under-20 Provincial Championships.

The Under-20 Provincial Championships will be held at Pamushana High School on 23 July 2026, where Gutu High will proudly represent the district.
