Spartans Training Group

What a year it has been for the Spartans Training Group! From early-morning sessions to the biggest moments on the track, the work has spoken for itself.

Every PB, podium, breakthrough, and race was reflection of the discipline, resilience, and commitment that the members of the training group has shown throughout the season. We didn’t just train to compete we trained to become better athletes and better versions of ourselves.

Here's to a successful 2026 and looking forward to what 2027 brings.

Leeford Zuze and Gerren Muwishi were part of the quartet that qualified for the 2027 World Championships in the 4 x 400m with a fifth place finish and new 4 x 400m National Record at the World Relays in Botswana earlier this year

Leeford Zuze and Gerren Muwishi were part of the quartet that won gold at the Africa Senior Championships in Ghana earlier this year

Nataly Shoko was part of the 4 x 400m mixed relay that won gold in Mauritius at the SACA u18/U20 Games

Hayley M Chingono and Takudzwa Mbonyeke were selected to represent Zimbabwe at the SACA games in Mauritius. Both made considerabke progress, making it into the finals of their respective events with Personal Bests and Season bests.

Leeford Zuze won individual bronze at the Africa Senior Championships in Ghana. He also had a successful European tour in which he won 3 meetings in Italy setting 2 new Meeting Records

💗keeks❤ and Tinotenda Wesley Runhindi made the ZTIS team that competed at the CUCSA games in Botswana. Both ran PBs as well as medaled in their respective events and relays.

A huge congratulations to "Baba Monya" on his performance at the just ended Africa Senior Athletics Championships held in Ghana. Leeford came 3rd to grab the bronze medal in a time of 45.03s 🥉
