LOWVELD FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY MOURNS THE PASSING OF Highlanders F.C FC SUPPORTERS 🕯️🖤

It is with profound sadness that Lowveld Football Development Academy (LFDA) joins the football fraternity in mourning the untimely passing of Highlanders FC supporters who lost their lives in a tragic road accident following Sunday’s Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match against Herentals FC.

We extend our deepest and heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, Highlanders FC, the entire football family and everyone affected by this heartbreaking tragedy.

During this difficult time, our thoughts and prayers are with all those mourning the loss of their loved ones.

May the souls of the departed rest in eternal peace. 🕊️

Lowveld Football Development Academy Stars Fly Masvingo Flag at BancABC Roots Impact Tournament

LOWVELD Football Development Academy players are proudly representing Masvingo Province at the ongoing BancABC Roots Impact Programme Tournament, which is being held at Prince Edward School in Harare, with the academy contributing talent across all four age-group categories.

The academy has supplied 10 young players to the provincial set-up, underlining its growing role in identifying and developing emerging football talent in the Lowveld.

In the Under-14 Girls category, Kirsty Kasym Chidhuza is representing Masvingo, while Penlope Mushayademo, Notsa Magweveni and Beatrice Gweva have been selected for the Under-16 Girls team.

The academy's boys are also making their mark, with Frank Dejong Muchavaka and Zvikomborerwo Gracious Nikisi representing the province in the Under-14 Boys category.

In the Under-16 Boys section, Lowveld Football Development Academy is represented by Joseph Meso, Rugare Mazarire, Shadreck Mubwana and Tinashe Gondongwe.

Their selection is a major achievement for the academy and a source of pride for the Lowveld, as the young footballers get an opportunity to compete on a structured national development platform alongside some of the best emerging players from Zimbabwe's provinces.

The BancABC Roots Impact Programme is designed to create a clear and structured pathway for junior football development, with competition being organised in four key divisions — Under-14 Boys, Under-16 Boys, Under-14 Girls and Under-16 Girls.

The programme brings together provincial teams from across the country, giving young players valuable competitive minutes and exposure at an important stage of their development. The initiative also provides an important platform for both boys and girls to showcase their talent and potentially progress through Zimbabwe's football development structures.

For Lowveld Football Development Academy, having players represented in every category is a significant vote of confidence in its development programme and the work being done to nurture the next generation of footballers.

Another day in the books, another step forward for the future of Lowveld and Zimbabwean football.
