Thank you to the team at Thompson Developments and Chas Everitt for spending the day with us, giving our thirsty (adult)racers quenching Gin drinks at the end of the race, and for assisting with Prize Giving at the end of the day 👏

THE ONE MAN TEAM 🙈

This year marks the fifth incredible edition of the Zimazing Race, and what a journey it has been. What began as an ambitious idea has grown into a platform that has connected people, businesses, organisations, creatives, communities, and culture in a truly unique way.

From the unforgettable host venues including The Nesbitt Castle Southern Cross Estate , Fazak Africa , and now Simply Delicious Bulawayo , to the many exciting pit stops that have brought the race to life, every partner and location has helped shape an experience that is bigger than just a race. It has become a celebration of Zimbabwean spaces, Zimbabwean people, and the incredible businesses and organisations that continue to keep our cities vibrant.

Over the years, racers have travelled through iconic destinations and helped shine a spotlight on businesses, community projects, artists, sporting organisations, and individuals such as Hillside Dams Conservancy, Hillside Bowling Club, Busters Sports Club, Masters Paint and Hardware e, Byo Veg Market, Dreamy Driving School, Spice Shop, First Mutual Holdings Limited , Zim Lacrosse, Christian Brothers College, Jump Zim, Barbara Burrell, Centre For Innovation and Technology , Bulawayo Club, The Beachhouse, Leeside Family Supermarket, Amakhosi Theatre, Drums of Peace, Ndoro reptile education center , Smoke & Vine , Mares Animal Sanctuary, Lion’s Den, Creative Centre, Gezi Mota Car Wash, Heath Streak Academy, Sculpt Gym Museum of Natural Sciences, Sam Levy’s Village, and many more that have become part of the Zimazing Race story. And this year, even more names will be added to that growing list. And of course helpers- The LIONS CLUB of BULAWAYO and this year The Scouts Association

At its heart, the mission has always been simple: to create experiences that bring people into spaces they may never have discovered otherwise, to celebrate local excellence, and to give businesses, brands, organisations, and communities an opportunity to be seen, experienced, and remembered. In many ways, the race has become a moving showcase of the spirit, creativity, resilience, and potential within our cities.

Every venue, sponsor, volunteer, racer, and partner has contributed to the adventure, excitement, teamwork, and memories that have defined the past five years. The journey has required passion, persistence, belief, and countless people coming together simply because they believed in what the event could become. And while the road has not always been easy, each year has laid another brick in the foundation of something with the potential to grow even bigger, stronger, and more impactful in the years ahead.

As I celebrate this fifth milestone, I honour everyone who has walked this journey with us and helped make the Zimazing Race one of Zimbabwe’s most unique, community-driven, and proudly local experiences.

Including the public who so willingly and graciously give free rides to our racers! You are the unseen heroes in this journey!
