MIGHTY TOUGH TEAM. MAKINKA
🚨 Kansanshi Dynamos FC assistant coach Dennis Makinka after a crucial 2-0 win over Mufulira Wanderers.
🗣️"Everyone was fighting, everyone wanted this win, and just like we expected, Maite, a very good team, a ball playing team."
"The game was not easy, someone who hasn't watched would think maybe it was just a walkover but the game was very tough, also hard luck to maite because the way they were playing I don't think they also deserve to lose but you know football being what it is, one team has to win, the one which pushes hard to score more goals, they win the game."
On facing the top two teams in the league
Makinka 🗣️ "We are playing Red Arrows on Wednesday than Power Dynamos, so this one ( the win against Maite) is a morale booster, it will give us more confidence to approach the games that are coming."
"The next two games, are important games, for us to come out of the relegation zone we need to be consistent regardless of the teams that we are playing, football is equal opportunity, before the game starts, it's equal opportunity, yes Power are champions, they are playing good football but if apply ourselves well, I think we can match how they play." 🟠

Super League blackout heads to VAR, TopStar responds to FAZ ultimatum
THE MTN Super League has been off air since November 2025, leaving fans frustrated and sponsors restless despite a five‑year, $1 million‑per‑season broadcast deal between the Zambian Premier League (ZPL) and TopStar Communications.
Over the weekend, FAZ president Keith Mweemba issued a 72‑hour ultimatum to resolve the blackout, warning of legal action and hinting at possible talks with SuperSport and Azam.
Yesterday, TopStar finally broke its silence and shifted the responsibility back to ZPL.
TopStar public relations manager Joy Chula said the broadcaster is ready to beam matches but cannot do so because ZPL has failed to provide the live feed.
“TopStar can only distribute feed which is shared by the production houses. We have not received any feed since November 2025,” Chula explained.
She stressed that TopStar has the full capacity to broadcast the games once ZPL fulfills its contractual obligations.
“We have the pipes ready, but ZPL has failed to provide the water,” Chula shared.
FAZ president Mweemba earlier sounded the alarm, saying the blackout was unacceptable.
“Contractual obligations must be respected. Failure to do so will result in repercussions,” Mweemba warned.
His remarks suggested FAZ is prepared to blow the whistle on the TopStar deal if the stalemate continues.
After checking VAR, the evidence is clear, TopStar’s role is distribution, while ZPL holds the production rights and must subcontract companies to film the matches.
Without that feed, TopStar insists it cannot broadcast.
The company agreed with FAZ for obligations to be honoured but argues that legal threats are misplaced if ZPL itself has not delivered.
For supporters, the blackout has felt like endless stoppage time. The deal was supposed to usher in a new era for Zambian football, but instead the league has been benched, leaving millions of viewers in the dark.
TopStar shared that talks with ZPL are ongoing and promised an announcement will be made soon on the resumption of broadcast.

ZAMBIAN champions Power Dynamos have jumped into position 28 on CAF Club Rankings. Zesco United have also made positive movements into position 61.
Meanwhile, the two Copperbelt electric ⚡ giants have pushed the Zambian League from 24th to 15th in Africa after reaching CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup group stages respectively.
However, Zambia will continue with just two representatives in CAF Continental games, but very close to returning the four slots as the league is now just 3 steps from top 12 requirements in Africa.
