New girl's on the way 🤝

Good evening. It is with sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Priscilla Mwansa, right back for Driven Queens FC. We extend our deepest condolences to the family and the entire club.

Former Copper Queens coach Bruce Mwape has died at the age of 67, leaving a void in Zambian football. He passed away in the early hours of today following a brief illness, a family member confirmed. Mwape's impact on women's football in Zambia cannot be overstated, having masterminded some of the team's most historic achievements. These include the team's maiden FIFA Women's World Cup qualification in 2023 and becoming the first Zambian team to qualify for the Olympic Games, achieving this feat twice in Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024. Mwape also led the Copper Queens to a third-place finish at the 2022 Women's Africa Cup of Nations. His ability to spot and nurture talent was evident in players like Barbra Banda, Grace Chanda, and Racheal Kundananji. The management of Chainda Bombers Ladies FC extends its sincere gratitude to Coach Stead for his invaluable service throughout the previous season. Unfortunately, Coach Stead will not be returning to the team for the upcoming season. We appreciate the time, dedication, and commitment he has shown, particularly during the half season he was with us. His leadership, encouragement, and support have been greatly valued. Chainda bombers ladies fc is resuming training on 30th June 2026. Potential players are invited to attend trials and are required to report at the specified venue on the aforementioned date.

The following requirements must be met:
▶️ Participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from the training sessions.
▶️ Each participant must come equipped with their own training kit.
▶️ Players aged 15 years and above are required to bring one (1) copy of their birth record and National Registration Card (NRC).
▶️ Participants below 15 years of age must bring one (1) copy of their birth record and the NRC of their parent/guardian.
▶️ We encourage all interested individuals to attend and be part of Chainda Bombers Ladies FC.
