Zambian football fans will be wondering why Chipolopolo Boys defender Frank Musonda is yet to make his league debut for his new English club, St Albans City FC, since featuring in their pre-season.

According to information reaching us, Musonda picked up an injury during his pre-season debut. Although the injury was not believed to be serious, his continued absence has raised questions.

It remains uncertain whether the Chipolopolo defender will miss today’s league game. If he is still unavailable, then surely there could be something behind the scenes, and we hope to find out more soon.

Fashion Sakala and Al Fayha have suffered a 2-1 defeat to Neom SC in their opening match of the Saudi Pro League season.

The Chipolopolo Boys forward played the full 90 minutes, giving his all for the team, but it was not enough to prevent the defeat.

Do you know that Zambia’s Chipolopolo striker Patson Daka is just three goals away from climbing into the top five of Zambia’s all-time leading goalscorers?

Patson Daka currently has 21 goals for Zambia and sits eighth on the all-time scoring chart. He is level with Denis Lota on 21 goals and is chasing Collins Mbesuma with 22 and Christopher Katongo with 23.

Three more goals would see Daka reach 24 goals and move into fifth position among Zambia’s all-time top goalscorers.

At the top of the list remains the legendary late Godfrey “Ucar” Chitalu, whose remarkable record of 79 goals for Zambia still stands tall. It is a record that may take generations to break.
