FC Leopards Announces New Leadership Trio
FC Leopards' interim Head Coach, Sunday Sichichimata, has appointed Allan Kapila as the team's new captain, with Simon Nkandu serving as first vice-captain and Emmanuel Chabula as second vice-captain.
This leadership change comes after FC Leopards parted ways with veteran head coach Justin Chinama, who guided the team to promotion to the MTN Super League last year. Sichichimata, a CAF C-licensed coach and former defender, expressed humility and confidence in his new role, urging players to "fight for the badge".

FC Leopards and Head Coach Justin Chinama Part Ways; Sunday Sichimata Takes Helm as Interim Coach 🎂
In a move announced today in Lusaka, Super League side FC Leopards have mutually agreed to part ways with veteran head coach Justin Chinama, along with assistant coach Donewell Yobe and goalkeeper trainer Lameck Nyangu. The decision marks a significant change for the Kabwe-based club, which saw Chinama lead them to promotion to the elite league last year.
Assistant Commissioner Divino Kifita, Director of Zambia Correctional Service Sports and Culture Affairs, confirmed the development, expressing gratitude to the departing trio for their services. "We sincerely thank them for their contribution to the club," he said.
Chinama, whose coaching résumé includes stints at Green Buffaloes and Mufulira Wanderers, played a key role in FC Leopards' promotion. Chief Inspector Sunday Sichimata has been appointed interim head coach, effective immediately. "A new and permanent coach will be announced soon, but in the interim, we have asked Chief Inspector Sunday Sichimata to help the team," Assistant Commissioner Kifita said.
