Chinsali Super Stars FC Gifts Fans a Valentineβs Present with a Win over Kalungu FC β€οΈβ½
By Thomas Mayaka, General Secretary β Chinsali Super Stars FC
Date: 14/02/2026
What a perfect Valentineβs Day gift for our supporters! π
At Mwaba Ground, Chinsali Super Stars FC edged Kalungu FC 1β0 in a Week 24 Muchinga Province Division One fixture.
The match was played under tough conditions, with a heavy downpour in the first half. Despite the slippery pitch, our boys defended well, exchanged passes confidently and showed great character. The first half ended 0β0, although we missed a number of good chances.
The winning goal came in the second half from a set piece. A well-taken free kick by the consistent right back Gabriel Tembo was met by Goodson Kaluba, who powered a header into the net. Kaluba, who featured in midfield instead of his usual left back position, had an excellent game, winning many balls and controlling play in the middle.
Defensively, the central defenders George Mumbi and Elijah Lunda were outstanding, winning most of the aerial balls and stopping Kalunguβs attacks. Isaac Mutale and Timothy Banda also combined well in midfield, giving the team balance and control.
In goal, Albert Mulenga put up a brilliant performance to keep a clean sheet. He made several fine saves, including an acrobatic back-dive save, flying through the air like a bird or an aeroplane to deny Kalungu a sure goal. π¦

The Debut That Shook Chinsali and Sparked a Dream
Football has always been more than a game in Chinsali. It is a source of pride, identity, and hope. When Chinsali Super Stars face Chinsali Hilltop FC, the entire town feels it. The Chinsali Derby is a battle of passion and history, and only the brave rise to the occasion. On this unforgettable day, that bravery belonged to Frank Goma.
Making a debut is never easy, but doing so in a derby comes with enormous pressure. Eyes watch every movement, and expectations are heavy. Yet from the moment Frank Goma stepped onto the pitch wearing the Super Stars jersey for the first time, he played with confidence and hunger. He did not look like a newcomer. He looked like a player ready for his moment.
The match itself was intense and tightly contested, with both teams aware that a single mistake or moment of brilliance could decide the outcome. The atmosphere was electric, fueled by chanting supporters and the deep rivalry between the two sides. Then, in a moment that will forever be remembered in Chinsali football history, Frank Goma found his chance.
With calmness beyond his experience, he struck the ball and sent it into the back of the net.
The reaction was instant. The crowd erupted, teammates celebrated wildly, and the name Frank Goma echoed across the stadium. Scoring on your debut is special, but scoring in a derby of such importance transforms a player into a symbol of hope and belief. In that moment, Frank Goma became more than just a debutant β he became a hero.
That goal meant more than victory. It represented courage, preparation, and the power of believing in oneself. For young footballers watching from the stands or listening from afar, it was a reminder that dreams are achievable, even on the biggest stages and under the greatest pressure.
Frank Gomaβs performance showed maturity, determination, and a strong desire to succeed. While this was only the beginning of his journey with Chinsali Super Stars, his debut has already left a lasting mark. It sparked excitement among fans and signaled the rise of a player who could play an important role in the clubβs future.

Frank Gomaβs was a statement.
And in Chinsali, the dream he sparked is only just beginning.
