Last week was packed at the Biogas Technology In Zambia. offices.

After kicking off with Absa Bank Zambia PLC on Thursday, on Friday we hosted the National Health Insurance Management Authority - NHIMA.

All staff were in attendance to learn how the government agency manages Zambia’s public health insurance scheme, and how we can ensure every team member accesses affordable, quality medical care without paying cash at the hospital.

Last Thursday, we were honored to host Absa Bank PLC at the Biogas Technology In Zambia. offices.

The team met with our newly recruited masons to ensure a smooth start to their work with Biogas Technology.

During the session, the masons received a detailed lecture on the different banking services Absa offers, and guidance on which products are most suitable for each member of staff.

We appreciate Absa’s commitment to financial inclusion and to supporting our field teams as we scale biodigester construction across Zambia.

We are excited to introduce the second group of recruits and trainees joining the team!

These skilled masons were selected following the recently concluded interviews and are now officially part of the team.

Learning by doing at BTZ!

Today our newly recruited team kicked off their journey with us on a practical field trip.

First stop: Site assessment training. They learned how we evaluate a client’s farm - checking feedstock, water, space, and gas demand to design the right biogas solution.

Next: Construction site visit. They saw a digester being built from foundation to dome, and understood how waste becomes clean cooking gas + organic fertilizer.

We’ll keep you posted as they head to 2 more sites later today to see installations at different stages.

Great day hosting our visitors from Berlin at the Biogas Technology In Zambia. offices in Avondale!

We captured some memorable moments with the team, then headed out to meet our implementing partners SNV and EFF. Strong collaboration means stronger impact for clean energy and sanitation in Zambia.

Yesterday, we took our visitors from Berlin straight to the field to see real climate action in progress.

They got a first-hand look at our 100m³ biodigester plant under construction at 15 Miles. The team is currently plastering inside the digester.

Our visitors were impressed by the scale and the local craftsmanship. This plant will soon turn chicken waste + horticulture waste into clean cooking energy + organic fertilizer.
