Some dreams take years to build, and some take everything you have.
Today, I can finally say that I have received my national colours for Inflatable Power Boat Racing — something I once only dreamed of. 🇿🇦
The road here was far from easy. There were moments of doubt, setbacks, disappointment and times when I had to fight harder than I ever thought I would have to. But I kept showing up. I kept pushing. And somehow, through all the highs and lows, I made it here.
This green blazer represents so much more than a piece of clothing. It carries the early mornings, long drives, difficult days, tough races, comebacks, sacrifices and countless memories that brought me to this moment. Most importantly, it represents the people who stood beside me and helped me along the way.
I’m incredibly grateful for everyone who supported me, believed in me and helped me become the person and racer I am today. This journey was never mine alone.
And to my teammate, Dylan Bamberger S11 — I’m incredibly proud of what we have achieved together. From our first race to standing here today, I’m grateful for every kilometre, every challenge and every memory we’ve shared as a team.
There were times I wondered whether I would ever get to this moment. Now that I’m here, I realise every difficult step was part of the story🇿🇦
