Did you know that netball umpires work as a team to ensure the game is played fairly, safely, and according to the rules?

Each umpire controls their designated areas of the court and follows the play along their sideline. Good positioning, teamwork, and communication between umpires are essential for making accurate decisions and keeping the game flowing smoothly.

🏐 NETBALL STARTING POSITIONS & DIRECTION OF PLAY 🏐

Did you know that players must start in specific areas of the court before a centre pass can be taken?

✅ At the start of every quarter
✅ After every goal is scored
✅ Players must be in their correct starting positions

The Centre (C) starts in the centre third and takes the centre pass. Players then move according to the rules of their position and the direction of play.

Understanding where to stand and when to move helps players avoid penalties and ensures a smooth start to play. 💜💛
