Building Knowledge, Strengthening Herds, Growing the Red Meat Sector!
A successful two-day training was recently held in Matwabeng, Free State. RMIS Livestock Technical Advisor Frans Dolamo and Hendrick Moche presented the training in partnership with AFASA.
The training covered key aspects of livestock production, including cattle breed selection, safe livestock handling, general husbandry, and practical herd management.
We were encouraged by the commitment and passion shown by farmers from Bethlehem, Paul Roux, Winburg and Fouriesburg, who came together with a shared interest in improving their livestock enterprises.
We also want to thank Ntate Bush Masiu for his dedication and coordination in making this training possible.
This training is a great example of what can be achieved when farmers, industry stakeholders and organisations collaborate to bring relevant knowledge closer to farmers - regardless of their level of farming experience.
When we work together, we donโt just share knowledge; we create opportunities, strengthen farmers and build a stronger red meat industry.
