BIOGRAPHY – BARRY & CELIA COLEMAN

Barry Coleman, ex-Rhodesian, has been scuba diving since the 1980s. Celia, ex-Rhodesian, enjoyed all her early years sailing on the lakes in RhoZim! Celia and Barry became Dive Instructors and certified Coastal Skipper and Yacht-Master Ocean skippers, respectively. We then traveled worldwide with Yacht Deliveries, Sailing Instruction, Yacht Brokering, and building our own ocean-going yacht. We dived the entire time, and 10 years later opened up Meridian Dive Centre in 1997 in Durban. They also worked internationally on design teams developing new and specialized diving and rebreather equipment (Poseidon RB MkVI) which has been out in the market since 2008. Barry & Celia are the Founding Members of the international training agency RAID (now sold) and, recently, International Scuba Certification (DiveISC). Today Barry is an ISC Examiner, training Instructor Trainers to teach Instructors, but he still gets pleasure from introducing total beginners to the Ocean environment! Barry, in addition, has the MCA Master of Yachts 200t certification. Brands:
