Because riding is so much more than just a sport.

When a child chooses horses, they’re choosing to learn teamwork, discipline, responsibility, resilience, patience, confidence and how to handle both wins and losses.

They learn to show up even when it’s hard.
They learn that trust has to be earned.
They learn that progress takes time.
They learn to care for something bigger than themselves.

And yes… they learn it all in boots, covered in horse hair, with a little dirt on their clothes and a 1,200-pound best friend by their side. 🐎❤️

At Seyunique Equestrian, we believe some of life's most important lessons don't happen on a sports field — they happen in the saddle, in the stable, and in the quiet moments spent building a bond with a horse.

🐴🏆 Gauteng Championships | 1–3 May 2026 🏆🐴

The scoreboard doesn't always tell the full story—and this weekend was a perfect example.

Mika and Little Rock took on the 1.00m Junior classes at the Gauteng Championships, putting together some fantastic rounds. An unfortunate pole in each class kept them just out of the placings, but the quality of the riding, the partnership, and the experience gained made this show a huge success.

Every competition is an opportunity to learn, improve, and grow stronger. With each round, Mika and Little Rock continue to build confidence, refine their partnership, and take another step forward.

We're incredibly proud of the determination and sportsmanship shown throughout the weekend. Success isn't only measured in ribbons—it's found in the lessons learned, the progress made, and the passion to keep coming back stronger.

Competing in a highly competitive 80cm class, this talented partnership rose to the occasion with determination, confidence, and beautiful riding.

What a fantastic day of Western riding at BRSA Sasolburg!

Willie and Seattle Reign put together some lovely runs throughout the day, showing confidence, determination, and a great partnership in every event.

Their results for the day were:

🏅 5th – Barrel Racing

Days like these are about more than just placings—they're about enjoying the ride, building confidence, and making memories in the arena. It was wonderful to see this combination out there giving it their all and enjoying every moment.

A huge well done to Olwethu & Buffalo Bill on a fantastic day in the arena! 🌟

Competing in both the 40cm and 50cm classes, this partnership showed confidence, determination, and plenty of promise.

⭐ 40cm – A beautiful clear round!
⭐ 50cm – Just 4 penalties, narrowly missing another clear, but still a brilliant effort.

It's wonderful to watch Olwethu continue to grow in confidence with every competition. Each round is another stepping stone, and the partnership between her and Buffalo Bill becomes stronger every time they enter the ring.
