RGM Cranes' Cape Town branch supplied Iconicco Holdings (Pty) Ltd in Wellington, Western Cape, with three overhead cranes: two dual hoist single girder cranes, each rated at 5 ton (2 x 2.5 ton) with 19 metre spans, and a single-girder 5 ton crane with a 6.5 metre span. The dual hoist cranes were specified to improve handling of long sections of steel, beams and plates and to support top-and-tail lifting for turning components such as cylinders.
These new cranes form part of the expansion of Iconicco's existing premises, which added 800 square metres of additional floor space. Iconicco is a turnkey mechanical and engineering services provider, supplying locally manufactured products into South Africa's mining sector and international markets.
A fourth crane is currently in production as part of this project. Another example of how our team delivers fit-for-purpose lifting solutions tailored to our customers' operations.

When a customer in South Yorkshire faced the unexpected condemnation of their overhead crane, getting production back up and running quickly was the priority. RGM Cranes UK supplied a 10 ton double girder crane with a 15 metre span to replace the existing unit. From receipt of order through to installation, testing, commissioning and load testing, the entire project was completed in around two weeks, allowing our customer to resume normal operations with minimal impact.
A fast turnaround on a critical piece of lifting equipment is exactly the kind of challenge our team is built for.

A 20-ton double girder overhead crane has been manufactured at our Benoni facility and will be shipped to KwaZulu-Natal for installation and commissioning. The crane has been purpose-built for the assembly, repair, and installation of components on Liebherr mobile cranes, with a particular focus on the larger mobile crane models providing a dedicated lifting and positioning solution for maintenance, refurbishment, and assembly activities where precision and capacity are critical.
This crane forms part of Liebherr's significant expansion in KwaZulu-Natal, anchored by a major investment in a new Competence and Distribution Centre in Durban. The facility will include the Liebherr Technology Campus, a hub for innovation, professional training, and equipment lifecycle support across the region.

Beyond construction sites and factory floors, our work sometimes reaches the heart of wildlife conservation. We were honoured to supply and install the monorail and electric chain hoist at the brand-new Care for Wild Rhino Sanctuary Wildlife Clinic, a purpose-built, fully equipped facility designed to care for critically ill and injured rhinos, and to support wildlife in need across the Mpumalanga province.
Our monorail and electric chain hoist, together with a stainless steel trolley supplied by VEBME, play a vital role in safely lifting and supporting these heavy, magnificent animals during treatment.
Thank you to Care for Wild Rhino Sanctuary for including us in something so meaningful. Projects like this are what it's all about.

Need precision lifting where space is limited? Jib cranes are designed for controlled lifting in areas where accuracy and accessibility matter. With a rotating arm extending from a central pivot, they allow for efficient material handling within a defined working area, making them ideal for repetitive tasks at individual workstations.
From assembly lines and machine shops to loading stations and warehouse environments, jib cranes provide a flexible solution that improves workflow without relying on larger overhead crane systems.
With wall-mounted or freestanding options and rotation capabilities of up to 360 degrees, they can be configured to suit a wide range of applications.
If your current setup is limiting productivity, it’s time to change it. Speak to our team about a jib crane built for your operation.

We continue to expand our operational capability across the business, strengthening the infrastructure that supports our manufacturing, testing, and training requirements.
A dedicated load testing weight section has been added to improve how test weights are stored, handled and loaded, creating a more controlled environment for load testing. Our electrical capacity has also increased with a new facility for the design and assembly of electrical control panels to support the growing demand for electrical upgrades and modernisation work. Alongside this, we have introduced a separate training centre to support skills development, product familiarisation, and onboarding across the business.
Together, these upgrades reflect our ongoing investment in capability, reliability, and long-term service support for our customers.
