Mercian Hockey

Mercian Hockey WIN BEFORE YOU PLAY. Tradition, heritage, innovation and energy; four words not usually used in the same sentence.

Mercian defies convention and happily embraces all four. As a brand with nearly 40 years of history we have experienced everything that the hockey market has endured; grass to Astro-turf, wood to composite hockey sticks, offside to self-pass. We have been at the forefront of product developments and supported players through multiple Olympic Games and World Cups, as well as helping beginners learn with their very first stick.

With a young, dynamic and energised staff of players and enthusiasts, we have combined NEW materials, colours, designs, shapes and sizes to create a product range that covers just about every hockey requirement. Mercian products are used across the globe and by working with our clients, agents and distributors we are proud to supply high-quality products into the worldwide hockey market.

The biggest wins don’t happen on game day.

The extra reps.
The hard sessions.
The small adjustments.
The choice to keep pushing when nobody’s watching.

You either put in the work, or you don’t.

Train with purpose. Play with confidence. Win before you play.

Every journey has defining moments. This is one of them 🌍🏑

Congratulations to Morgan de Jager on her selection to represent South Africa at the FIH Hockey World Cup 2026. This is a remarkable achievement, and one that reflects years of dedication, perseverance, and passion for the game.

“Representing my country at the World Cup is a prayer answered, and I give all the glory to God for this incredible blessing. This moment is deeply special, not only for me but for my family and everyone who has poured into this journey over the years. While this selection reflects countless hours of hard work on and off the turf, it also represents the sacrifices my family has made to help me pursue this dream. I wouldn’t be here without their unwavering love, support, and belief in me. This achievement belongs to all of us.” 🇿🇦

Congratulations, Morgan. The Mercian family is incredibly proud of you and wishes you every success as you take on the world 💪🏻

A dream years in the making 🌍🏑

Congratulations to Cullin de Jager on his selection to represent South Africa at the FIH Hockey World Cup 2026. This is a remarkable achievement, and one that reflects years of dedication, perseverance, and passion for the game.

“I’m incredibly grateful and humbled to have been selected to represent South Africa at the Hockey World Cup. Playing at the Indoor World Cup in 2025 was already something truly special, and if you’d told me then that I’d be competing at the Hockey World Cup in Belgium, I probably would have laughed. I still remember sitting at home watching the last World Cup, hoping I’d one day get the chance to see some of my hockey heroes in person, and now I get to share the field with them. It’s an incredible blessing, and I’m truly grateful for this opportunity.” 🇿🇦

We’re proud to have you representing both South Africa and the Mercian family on the world’s biggest stage 💪🏼
