🏹 SCRIPTURE FRIDAY ✝️

We love because He loved us first—and the greatest proof of that love is Jesus Christ.

He did not come for the perfect. He came to save sinners—people like you and me. That is the heart of the Gospel: we are loved not because we deserve it, but because of who He is.

“Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.” — 1 Timothy 1:15 NKJV

❤️ Loved by Christ. Saved by grace. Called to love others.

🎯 Let His love guide our aim, our actions and our lives.

🏹 AGA-SA GAUTENG — TODAY IS OUR DAY! 🎯

To every archer, coach, manager, parent and supporter — today we stand together as one Gauteng archery family.

> “Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.” — Proverbs 4:23 NLT

Today, fill your heart with positivity, calmness and confidence. Archers, you have trained for this. Trust your preparation, trust your form and believe in yourselves. One arrow at a time. One shot at a time.

Supporters, today your encouragement matters. Be the positive voice behind our archers. Celebrate the great arrows, encourage them through the difficult ones, and help create the environment in which they can simply enjoy doing what they love.

Whatever happens on the scoreboard, let Gauteng be remembered for excellence, unity, integrity and sportsmanship.

May God fill our hearts with calmness, courage and confidence, guide every archer and keep everyone safe throughout the competition.

🔥 ONE PROVINCE • ONE AIM • ONE TEAM 🔥
🦁 GO GAUTENG! GIVE IT EVERYTHING — AND ENJOY YOUR MOMENT! 🏹🎯

AMEN.

Good luck to all our archers!

🏹 AGA-SA Ekurhuleni — THIS IS THE WEEK! 🎯🇿🇦

Every practice. Every early morning. Every difficult arrow. Every correction. Every moment you chose to try again. It has all led to this.

This week we step onto the National stage for the NIPC, AAGC and NISC. Now is not the time to change your shot or question your ability. Trust your training. Trust your form. Trust yourself.

Stay calm. Stay positive. Support one another. And when you step onto that shooting line, forget about yesterday's arrow and don't worry about the next one.

🎯 There is only ONE arrow — the one in your bow right now.

Shoot it with confidence. Shoot it with purpose. And most importantly, ENJOY IT! You have earned the opportunity to be there.

Whatever the scoreboard says, compete with integrity, humility and sportsmanship and wear AGA-SA Ekurhuleni with pride.

> “You’ve done the work. Now go out and enjoy what you love.”

🔥 ONE SHOT. ONE ARROW. ONE TEAM.
💚💛 LET'S GO EKURHULENI! 🏹🎯

Turn the Bad Shoot into Useful Information

Once the sting fades a little (give it a day or two), your bad shoot becomes valuable. There's gold in it, but only if you look at it calmly rather than emotionally.

Use Bassham's "mental receipt."

Bassham's method is simple. After a performance, write down:

What went well (there is always something, even if it's small)
What you'd like to improve (one or two things, not twenty)

The order matters. By recording the positives first, you keep your confidence intact and train your mind to store good memories rather than only the failures.

Look at process, not just scores.

Coaches in the Korean tradition, such as Kisik Lee, whose ideas are set out in Total Archery, focus on a repeatable shot process: stance, set-up, draw, anchor, release and follow-through. A score is the result of that process. So ask yourself:

Did I stick to my routine on every arrow?
Where did I rush or hesitate?
Was it a technical issue, a focus issue or a nerves issue?

This turns "I was awful" into "I lost my routine after the third end," which is something you can fix.

Keep it short. Set aside 15 minutes, write your notes, then close the notebook. You're gathering information, not replaying the whole weekend on a loop.

This week's takeaway: Every bad shoot has one or two clear lessons. Find them, write them down, and let the rest go.

🏹 SCRIPTURE FRIDAY ✝️

Sometimes the road ahead is uncertain, the pressure is heavy, and the target seems far away. But God gives us this promise: “I will personally go with you.”

We do not face the journey alone. His presence brings strength, peace and rest, even when we cannot see what lies ahead.

“I will personally go with you, Moses, and I will give you rest—everything will be fine for you.” — Exodus 33:14 NLT

🎯 Trust His presence.

Follow His direction. Rest in His promise. He goes with us.
