Although our page has been quiet lately, we have continued to be busy on the water. My daughter (Hayley) and I (Carrie) have been giving Coastal Beach Sprint Rowing a try. We were invited to the Mandela Bay Beach Sprints and had a great time... We also learnt that the waves in PE are a lot bigger than those in Durban! Hayley then attended an invitational junior camp in East London. We have had such fun learning all about this different style of rowing ❤️💪

So proud of Emma Linfield - one of our "own" from Henley-Midmar Junior Rowing Club. The junior girls are turning heads at the schools regattas and we are so proud of all they have achieved in the mere year that they have been rowing ❤️

We traveled up to Johannesburg this weekend to participate in the Victoria Lake Nationals Sprint Regatta.

While we didnt manage to bring home any medals it was fantastic to be back competing together again! We had an awesome race with our Henley-Midmar Rowing Club members, John Linfield and Guy Henderson. The Henley-Midmar Junior Rowing Club also participated in the schools races (and some open/senior races!) and did us all so proud bringing home a number of medals.

A highlight was racing the womens quads with Wendy and Janice Richardson from Ravens Boat Club who we met last year at the World Masters Regatta in Spain!

A massive shout out to all the event organizers, sponsors, officials, umpires and other volunteers for a fantastic, well-run event!
